“A place to crash on, when the night falls, what else is there to look forward for?” Gun Roswell
Midnight Bench
When the darkest of the lonely nights fall
Even time itself, completely stalls
But the rain does not, never, its pour pause
It just keeps on, going, going, going
And onto the very ground finally fall
So then,
For now at least,
It is past the time
When towards
Some kind of home
I myself haul
This bench
Really is, the only place
To stay on
For the passing night
And, to slowly wait
Until the early morning light
Before once again
Hitting, the deserted streets
Even if,
There really was no sleep
For home, as it is
Is a place of dreams
At least for now
But, never mind,
I am still feeling
Totally proud
The first thought I had with this photo: should there be someone in a dark trench coat walking towards the bench…
