Dark Shadows

Photography and Poetry

“Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow” Helen Keller

Dark Shadows

The sky filled with darkness
The cast shadows seem harmless
The calm before the storm
Everything soon to transform
The rain and thunder soon to follow
The earth and skies swallowed
By nature’s display of power
No need to feel sour
Soon the sun will shine again
And the bad weather will be slain

The Gun Method (or my way of working)

“Call me crazy, but… well, most people do” Gun Roswell

The Gun Method (or my way of working)

Never concentrating
On just one thing
Or maybe just aiming
For that perfect swing

Even writing this one tale
Ended up with three instead
Call it a sort of a sale
Following several threads
Or just let the mind roam free
And after reading
Maybe you can also agree

It is not just a fable
That’s why I am able
To accomplish everything
And nothing

Dark Side of the Moon

Photography and Poetry

“There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls” George Carlin

Dark Side of the Moon

If you are howling at the moon
You know it’s not twelve in the noon
Maybe doing a little dance
Around the garden in the nude prance
Paying homage to the big white ball in the sky
Whether down on the ground or up high
Some of us are more night people than others
If you think someone it bothers
Just tell them never mind, be kind
Let out a big smile
Tell them no tall tails
And if all else fails
Moon them!

Ode to Dame Helen Mirren, Happy 70th Birthday!

An homage to Dame Helen Mirren

All Hail the Queen!
Happy 70th Birthday to the glorious, sexy, sensational, and über-talented Dame Helen Mirren!

“I was never that kind of star. I was never cast because I was gorgeous” Helen Mirren

Ode to Dame Helen Mirren

The star of everything that matters
Stating this not just for the sake of flatters
The Queen, the Chief Inspector, a tart
Playing them all with very much smart

She is definitely not a prude
When prancing in the nude
Not afraid to speak her mind
Even if it meant to be a little unkind

A naughty word here and there
To make her point, if you weren’t clear
Pure perfection of talent and beauty
Always with the sense of duty

A rose by any other name
Let’s all hail to our Dame

Fire in the Sky

Gun Roswell's avatarRantings Of A Third Kind

Photography and Poetry:  The Clinic /Photo Rehab

“A cloudless plain blue sky is like a flowerless garden” Terri Guillemet

Fire in the Sky

When the clock struck seven
High up in the heavens
The white, blue and yellow
Happily mixed together
Looking up at the skies
The vision burning my eyes
Painted in the colour red
Like the Almighty had bled
The horizon in full flame
Watching the complete frame
The sky was on fire
