Autumn Time

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower” Albert Camus

Autumn Time

The daylight is getting shorter
The darkness is getting longer
The skies are turning into gray
But, nature has a funny way
To cheer us up when we are down
Turn our lips into an upside frown
The colours revealed in abundance
Soon will turn the reluctance
Into joy and wonderment
Stop for this moment
And leave us in an awe

“Keep calm and go to London”

London Odds and Ends

Going out for Fish and Chips
Maybe viewing a solar eclipse
Or shopping for model toys
Even looking for the real McCoys
London is the place to be
With so many things to see
After a busy day on the streets
Walking, biking or on the bus
Step into the local pub
Lift up your feet
Relax without a fight
And enjoy the night

“My favourite poem is the one that starts ‘Thirty days hath September’ because it actually tells you something” Groucho Marx

September

Oh bitter sweet September
The time for splendor
The nature soon covered
With a variety of beautiful colours
The illusion of warmth
Before the storm

Photo Rehab, The Clinic: Week 37 Wrap up

“In December 2014, after completing the Photo101 course, I opened the Photo Rehab Event in this blog, a ‘healing clinic’, for all of us who love photography (hobbyists, amateurs, pro-shooters and enthusiasts) who missed the course and daily interaction with other photobloggers” Lucile De Godoy

Check out all the magnificent photographs for this week:

Week 37: Wrap up

Also featured Rantings Of A Third Kind:

“Gun from Rantings of a Third Kind is in full swing for Autumn colors, inspired by Groucho Marx. And if you’re sad for summer is almost over, she prescribes: Keep Calm and Go to London, at least with her photos.”

My Spot

An homage to Home

spot    spot-3

“That’s my spot” Sheldon Cooper

My Spot

I love to travel
I like to work
I am a social kind of extrovert
Life will take me to many places
Different people different spaces
But in the end what matters the most
Is always returning to my favourite post
My Spot
Right, where I left it

Jopo bicycle, celebrating 50 years 11.09.2015

An homage to the one and only Bicycle: Jopo

“Finnish made, Finnish played, Finnish trade”

Jopo bicycle, celebrating 50 years 11.09.2015

In nineteen sixty five
It was made to drive
Vintage like myself
From the top shelf
It may be simple
But a smile with a dimple
When riding this bike
Which everyone likes

September Sunset in Suburbia

“Paradise is a state of being, more than just the name of a suburb or a home” Raquel Cepeda

September Sunset in Suburbia

The sun is setting
Day fading into night
Time to count the blessings
Turn on the street lights
Sooner than later
Slumber will cater
Silence over suburbia
Will replace the hysteria

Shadow play

“A man is whole only when he takes into account his shadow” Djuna Barnes

Shadow play

Playing hide and seek
With the part of me
That is truly unique
If you want to complete
The whole picture
Then look closely
In the image of ghostly
There might be a fracture
Which reveals all
