As mentioned on Day 9, today is the day to publish your collaboration post! Ideally, you reached out to a candidate and gathered what you needed. Today, publish this post, and don’t forget to link back to your collaborator’s site.

For those who didn’t reach out to someone, publish a roundup of great reads: blog posts or articles you’ve enjoyed this week and want to share with your followers. If you need ideas on how to format your post, check these out:

* The Top 5 Longreads of the Week at Longreads
* Links I Loved newsletter by Legal Nomads
* New York Times Digest at Submitted For Your Perusal

Don’t worry about word count or the number of items to include — just focus on sharing posts you’ve read and loved.

Amore

Oh L’amour
The word itself, pure glamour

Love
If it fits like a glove
Like the two proverbial doves
On a branch busy at tweet
Generating more heat
Than a red glowing stove

Love knows no gender
Love knows no age
Love is always tender
Love knows no hate

Me and My Shadow

It was nineteen eighty-five
When I hitched a ride
Ever since that time
We have been tied
Like sugar and spice
Abbott and Costello
And what have you
I am still quite amazed
And feeling totally graced
That someone would stare at my face
For thirty odd years straight
So thanks for all this time, sweetheart
Lets try to make it to the next part
And add another thirty to the cart
After all the most important thing
Which makes you want to sing
It’s good to have that one person
Who will support you without a reason
No matter how serious
Or delirious
Life gets
I will bet
You will still be the one
Who I can rely on
To go absolutely
And completely
Bonkers with
Ain’t that a hit!

Or one designed for two?
In this heat
Who could want to be glued
To someone else’s skin
With clothes this thin

Just An Other Saturday?

“The sky may fall on our heads tomorrow”

Just An Other Saturday?

Early morning
Dark skies
The wind howling
The rain pours

Just an other Saturday morning
In the month of November

More darkness to follow
Life empty and hollow
Through the window
The outside world
Only but a blur

But,
Just look out!
Something happens
A single white flake
Then an other
Could it be…
Snowing?

Lightness surrounding
From the skies to the ground
Happy thoughts, clear mind
Nothing more need I find

On just an other Saturday

“Bright light, bright light!”

“Oh my God, what is that?”

“Holy hell, is it a flying saucer?”

The masses had come out from their homes and workplaces staring and pointing up at the unidentified bright light high up in the sky. Some rumours had circulated, stating Finland had fallen under attack by UFOs.

In the corner of the street, a lonesome believer was preaching:

“The end of the world as we know it, is upon us!”
That day, was the first day of the month March.
Several months earlier

It was the beginning of October. The land had fallen under darkness. As if an evil warlock had cast a spell. Sour faces all around, no expressions, as if away blurred. Hardly any sound could be heard. People on the streets, dragging their feet. The lust for life, all sucked out.
First of March

An unidentified source of light had appeared in the skies.

“The sun”, someone said, as the onlookers stood before her, bewildered.

“It is called the sun” she stated again with a smile.

But the other just shook their heads in disbelief.

Still, turning their collective faces towards “the sun”. And, as by a wave of a magic wand, the crowd closed their eyes in unison and enjoyed that sacred moment. A collective sigh of content was the only sound heard.

For who knew, how long this would last…

Writing 101, Day Twenty: Wrap it up

Congratulations! You’ve reached the final day of Writing 101. We hope these prompts have encouraged you to brainstorm and write in new ways and introduced you to new tools and resources.

As we wind down the course, let’s wrap things up and look forward. Some final prompts to choose from, if you’d like:

Publish a course wrap-up:

* What did you enjoy or dislike?
* Describe a day, assignment, or Commons exchange in which you experienced an “aha!” moment.
* In December, I plan to . . .
* 5, 10, 20 years from now . . .

Thanks so much for joining us this month! You can continue to post and comment on the Commons for another week. Next Friday, December 4, we’ll disable posting/commenting access, but you’ll always be able to view and browse the site in the future.

Writing 101: All Wrapped Up

* Describe a day, assignment, or Commons exchange in which you experienced an “aha!” moment.
* In December, I plan to . . .
* 5, 10, 20 years from now

* What did you enjoy or dislike?

I plead the fifth on this particular question:P

We all have our different point of views to writing and blogging, what is fun or interesting to another blogger, may not be “all that” for someone else. All and all, I posted something each day, even though it might not have been right on the topic 😉

“Never give up, never surrender, full speed ahead!”

* Describe a day, assignment, or Commons exchange in which you experienced an “aha!” moment.

For me personally, every day is an “aha!” moment day. Ideas can be found in music, news, books and yes, even television. Of course given a direct prompt is even better!

* In December…

I plan to take three more courses for WordPress Blogging University. I have already registered for the open courses. That being said, I also plan to go on a one week trip and possibly run another set of Travel blog posts. The other option is to just lay by the pool and close my laptop all together!

* 5, 10, 20 years from now?

Bollywood or Hollywood, which ever comes first 😉 Seriously though, despite my long career in IT and customer service before that, I would like my third career to be somewhere in the arts, preferably writing, snapping pix and even some videographic endeavours.

“Madam Producer, did you pick up on that and take a hint… an aspiring writer looking for a gig!”

Keep Calm and Blog on

A great big thanks to the trainers and fellow bloggers!
And remember: Keep calm and keep on blogging Ya’ll!

Favourite Photo Friday , 2015-11-27

For this week’s Favourite Photo of the week, I have chosen not one, but two from my Wednesday’s World Wide Wednesday series, which presented the city of Porvoo in colour in two parts.

Depicted is the beautiful river “Porvoonjoki” and the slow relaxed living during summer time in the old town of Porvoo, Finland.
