Sunny side of Rhodes, Part One
Following the sun
Can be lots of fun
Blue skies, blue seas
As far as the eyes can see
Hike around the highlands
Spend your day shopping
On this little island
There simply is no stopping

A Bench at the Beach (Seat Sunday 2016-01-31)
Looking for my favourite spot
The one I prefer for break times
Buried under snow it seems
Workings of a wintry plot!
Snow aside,
I really don’t mind
Sitting down for a few
Enjoying the silent view
Before the evening
Sun sets

“I like to think that the moon is there even if I am not looking at it” Albert Einstein
Moon (Daily Photo)
As I am spotting the night trains passing by
I notice a round white ball in the black sky
In my mind’s eye, trying to reach high
But I just stumble, my aim gone awry
Reaching for the moon
Like it was a gold doubloon
Expecting everything to come soon
Will only lead to one’s doom
Happy National Tea Month!
“Make it so!” Captain Jean-Luc Picard
Tea Time!
Tea, hot, with a twist of lemon
Maybe enjoyed even in Bremen
The delightful aroma
Can lull you to a coma
In company or solitude
It is a prelude
To a life’s passion
A sweet sensation
When into the dark liquid dipping
Whether gulping or sipping
Enjoy the moment of pure bliss
For who could resist
Tea time
Happy National Tea Month!
“Enjoy life sip by sip, not gulp by gulp” The Minister of Leaves, The Republic of Tea
Tea, Earl Grey, Hot
Slow down
Listen
To the world
Around
Forget
That strife
Just Enjoy
Without a ploy
The simple pleasures,
Purest treasures
Of life
A cup of tea,
Plain and simple
Easy as
Your A, B, C
Soon you’ll see
A dimple
On your cheek
Will sneak
Breathe in
Breathe out
Relinquish
All doubt
Nothing to it
You can do it
Relax a while
It is no guile
Soon enough
The moment
That should have
Forever lasted
Has passed
You are back
On track
Remembering,
Hoping
The moments
Between now
And running out
To the
wide open
Would last
Longer than
A token

A response to Sylvain’s challenge theme of Orange
“An orange on the table, your dress on the rug, and you in my bed, sweet present of the present, cool of night, warmth of my life” Jacques Prevert
Orange, Three
Stop for a while
Take a seat on a bench
Have some food
For a thought
Drink some coffee
For going on
You need to stay strong
Orange is the colour
You had best to follow

Orange, Two
The picturesque architecture, with houses painted in orange, I found on my trips to Rhodes Greece and Mallorca, Spain.
