World Wide Wednesday in Brazil

bee

“We travel, some of us forever, to seek other places, other lives, other souls.” – Anais Nin

Bee Acrobatics

The little bee
Dancing around the tree
Getting on her groove
Showing us some moves

Out of the blue
On the cue
She started singing:

“I am limber by nature
One of the most gorgeous creatures
Just because I’m pretty
And possibly quite witty
Do not hate me
Or I will sting thee

World Wide Wednesday in Brazil

slow-boat

“We travel, some of us forever, to seek other places, other lives, other souls.” – Anais Nin

Slow Boat down the River

On a slow boat
On this wide moat
Did bring a tote
Filled with some oat
To feed the goat…

“Wait a minute, wait a minute?
River, oat, goat?
What’s the catch in this?”

“Well, it’s for me to know
And you to find out!”

“We travel, some of us forever, to seek other places, other lives, other souls.” – Anais Nin

Roof Top

Sitting on the roof top

Why?

Because it was time for a stop
Switch gears, and make a swap

Now

Laying around like a blob
Thinking(?)
I need to pick up that mop

Never mind
It’s just a job
I can easily do
Tomorrow

Biker Dude

Down the street
Engine setting the beat
No time to tweet
Not even, for any sweets
“Got some pals to meet
And,
Dry my soaking feet!”

Don’t Tell Gay People How To Mourn: Dominick Pupa

Dominick Pupa’s message for Orlando shootings at Pulse nightclub reblogged from Suzie’s blog.

imageDominick Pupa posted this in response to the recent and horrific Orlando shootings at Pulse nightclub, which thousands of people have liked and shared. Facebook deleted it, so I wanted to share this on the blog. It’s rare that I will make social commentary, but this is an incredible message…

Us gays.
We make you look prettier.
We dress you for your important occasions.
We polish up your neighborhoods until we get priced out of them.
We plan and attend your weddings even though you take vows to an entity that hates us.
We are involved in every movie you see.
We are involved in every TV show you watch.
We are involved in every song you listen to – even the homophobic ones.
We teach your children without having to tell you it’s us.
We protect your communities without having to tell you it’s us.
We nurse you back…

“Totem poles and wooden masks no longer suggest tribal villages but fashionable drawing rooms in New York and Paris” Mason Cooley

Totem of Modern Times for Daily Photo

… But when the ball of white
Disappears from sight
It’s more useful, than a flashlight

So, before you smite
Think of what a delight
Is,the pole of shining bright

Totem of Modern Times for Daily Photo

The bringer of light
Into the darkest of night
Is the totem of might

OK,so, now in the daylight
It doesn’t too much excite
Just standing there, looking trite…

“My imagination is a twisted place” Taylor Swift

Twisted for Daily Photo

A view, somewhat twisted
Like a sinking ship, listed
The horizon, non-existed

Professionals going ballistic
“Surely, this image is a misfit”
Retorts the photo-puristic

Laughing, I call it surrealistic
Filled with characteristics
Never mind the statistics

Maybe I just feel fantastic
Even a little nostalgic
But I say, it is naturalistic

Lilies of the Valley for Daily Photo

“I would far rather have two or three lilies of the valley gathered for me by a person I like, than the most expensive bouquet that could be bought!”

― Elizabeth Gaskell

 Lilies of the Valley

She’s a Lily of the Valley
You, may call her Sally
Better not get to pally
Or out you will dilly-dally

Soon, the others Sally will rally
There will be quite a tally
They will gather in the alley
Then go for a beer to O’Malley’s

The tallest tale ever spun verbally
When Sally recounted her tally
Singing, dancing in a few galleys
Some say, it was so loud, they heard it in Cali

This will be the finale
Of a tale of a Lily called Sally
I heard she moved her locale
Last seen, in Napa Valley

 Lilies of the Valley

As the summer wind softly blows
The delicate white bells glow
From the sunlight’s reflection
You can almost see, the perfection
