City bikes of yellow
For every gal and fellow
Driving by and waving hello
Before we break for jell-o

I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride my bike
Snow, hail or rain trickle
I am none too fickle
I want to ride my bike

“When the fishbowl gets too small, it’s time to pack up and leave and jump into the lake or ocean” Travie McCoy

Life in a Fishbowl for Daily Photo

Through the looking glass
Life in a fishbowl will pass
It may not have much class
Or even built to long to last

So drop down your stones
And spare by weary bones
This place, I call home
A small see-through fishbowl

“My evil genius Procrastination has whispered me to tarry ’til a more convenient season”
Mary Todd Lincoln

Evil for Daily Photo

They call me evil
But I am not illegal
I am pretty and pink
You try to act so tough
But, soon enough
Your teeth in me you’ll sink

But
I am not evil
I am a delicious
Dough-nut!

Nocturne

(translated to English by Rupert Moreton)

Hark! My ears are catching corncrake’s clicking,
Silver moonlight shines on cobhead corn;
Summer evening’s blessing me, enriching,
Valley’s wreaths of smoky slash and burn.
Neither joying I, nor grieve I, mournful;
But for forest’s darkness am I yearnful,
Rose-gilt clouds the day’s protracted ending,
Windy sleeping hill o’er all extending,
Fragrant twinflower, shortening, lingering shade;
These the things from which my heart-song’s made.

Lady June-July, for you I’m singing,
Great the silence of my ardent heart,
Merry music make, for faith is mounting,
Verdant wreath of oak eternal start.
Foolish errands now I’ll make no longer,
Fortune blessèd hands will grasp the stronger;
Rippled pool of circles now decreasing;
Time has ceased and weathervane is sleeping;
Stretches road at twilit end of day,
Bound for home unknown, I take its way.

Pink Sky for Daily Photo

The grey was so dull
It really hurt my skull
Added a dash of colour
Hoping, the sun soon would follow

Peeking behind the dark leaves
Oh what a magnificent view I see
Pretty pink sky at night
It was really well worth the flight

Don’t step on my pink suede shoes
Or I will be singing the blues

Instead of listening to all the boohoos
Just buy me a new pair of shoes
Because I have paid all my dues
And true shoes are my only muse

Don’t step on my pink suede shoes
Or I will be singing the blues

No more excuse
Turn on the news
There is nothing to loose
Except a cheap pair of shoes

“Frank stared at her. “But you throw Ding Dongs at monsters.”Iris looked horrified. “Oh, they’re not Ding Dongs.”She rummaged under the counter and brought out a package of chocolate covered cakes that looked exactly like Ding Dongs. “These are gluten-free, no-sugar-added, vitamin-enriched, soy-free, goat-milk-and-seaweed-based cupcake simulations.””All natural!” Fleecy chimed in.”I stand corrected.” Frank suddenly felt as queasy as Percy.”

Gluten-free for Daily Photo

Flour, sugar and spice
Add a little something nice
Blueberries crowning the top
To what else
Would you want it to swap?

Sweet and delicious
Utterly precious
Completely nutritious
In all its existence

You know you want to
Don’t try to fight
So just go ahead
And take a bite!
