There’s time to spare
And a cup of coffee to share

Opening the archives
Storing away the files
Of possible tales
For later to be shared
In a little cafe

Making a play
From my hideaway
People watching
A glimpse of their lives
Here and there catching
In the little cafe

Freakish Felines for Caturday

A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere” Groucho Marx

Freakish Felines for Caturday

Freakishly feline
Or a soft purring ball
How easy to unwind
Soon to a sleep fall
Hypnotized
By those wide eyes
The limber steps
Command respect
You can never own them
Just borrow for a while
But rest assured, the little gems
Will leave you in big smiles

Fire in the Sky for SL-Week Four

Fire in the Sky for SL-Week

“Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning”

Red Smokey Clouds

fire-5

Clouds hanging low
Red and thick
The fiery glow
Like a magical trick
The sun is setting
There is no betting
No reading between the lines
If it will rain or shine
Tomorrow

Fire in the Sky for SL-Week

“Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning”

Fire in the Treeline

The smell of burning wood
Filling the air of the neighbourhood
Ignited by the burning sun
Fires burning until done
Nothing to be done
And nowhere to run…

“Did anyone bring the marshmallows for the roasting then?”

Fire in the Sky for SL-Week

“Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning”

Sinking Sun

The sinking sun
Creating waves
In the horizon

If you brave
Into the water
Then a daughter
In the kingdom
Of mighty Poseidon
Will be your fortune

The Sky is Falling

fire-1

“The sky is falling upon us…”
The peasant screamed
As he ran towards the small village
Horrified, like woken from a bad dream
Panting heavily, before the sentence he could finish

“There will be no tomorrow”
The village elder retorted
As he looked into the horizon in sorrow
But hoping for one more day to borrow

As the flaming rays of the sun
Aptly, were the smoking gun
Had painted the skies red
Scaring the villagers under their beds

Sitting on the porch
Lit by a flaming torch
Was a little girl with courage
And eating her porridge
Looking up at the sky
As an evil smile her face passed by

“Oh, you foolish elders
Looking for a coward’s shelter
It’s not the end of the world as we know it
But a nature’s game of wit
No need to go all bananas,
Just relax and try enjoying
The beautiful painting
On the sky’s canvas”
