Ode to My Pink Running Shoes for Daily Photo

“Act like a horse. Be dumb. Just run.”
Jumbo Elliot

Ode to My Pink Running Shoes for Daily Photo

If there ever was a dress code
Then this little bitty ode
Would be an homage fitting
Because I am not just sitting
Or singing the lazy blues
But moving along
With my shiny new pink running shoes on

Writing in the Woods for Daily Photo

“Two roads diverged in a wood and I –
I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”
Robert Frost

Writing in the Woods for Daily Photo

I thought, that something
Was written on this sign,
but it turned out to be nothing,
Well, that’s just fine
So, I took my pen out of my pocket
And wrote something on that very topic:

“I thought that something was written on this sign…”

“Leap Of Faith, Make That Jump. From What We Are to What We Want To Be”

Quote a Week Tuesday

For this week’s quote, a little reminder for myself and maybe something for you all, to be inspired by; from Helen Keller:

“Be happy with what you have while working for what you want”

September Leaves for Daily Photo

leaves-1

Leaves of summer
Now leaves of fall
In colourful schemes
Or so it seems
For not too long
Will they go strong
Onto the ground
Their way will be found
And with the groundskeeper’s rake
Into a tall mound
Eventually transforming
Slowly metamorphosing
Catching sleep
Oh so very deep
Through the white winter
Not even a splinter
Can be found
But slowly when Spring time
They come a live
And fill the trees
With all new leaves

Mundane Monday (2016-09-26)

“There’s something that’s really fun about the challenge of making the mundane funny, too, I think”
Jim Gaffigan

Mundane Monday

“Oh, yet another Monday!”
She sighed heavily when

Through the looking glass
Call it a window, alas
Suburbia covered with mist
Possibly a thoughtful gift
By the weather gods
Playing a naughty trick

“Well, better get out there, and face whatever may fare!”
And off she went

Stubbornly,
Trying to put as many dents
Getting through Monday
Not another fun-day
Luckily,
Monday only happens
Once a week!

A Bench to Sit on for Seat Sunday (three)

“I don’t generally like running. I believe in training by rising gently up and down from the bench” Satchel Paige

A Bench to Sit on

A little while longer
As I moved along
The feeling now stronger
I knew it wouldn’t be long
I was close to finding
As I saw the metal shining

I finally found it
A bench made of metal
For me to sit
Soft as a petal
A purr-fect fit

A Bench to Sit on

Moving forward
I found one, made of wood
Maybe it wasn’t hard
Rather suitably good
Too soft for a fit!

So once again
I had to complain
But I knew, the right seat
Was just in reach
I just had to seek
