Postal Service on Mopeds

“The good old fashion snail mail, never fails… well it does, a lot actually, so, try to use the non-paper binary mode of a postal service whenever you can!” Gun Roswell

Postal Service on Mopeds

They arrive in ones and twos, sometimes more even, riding on their bikes, but these days even motorised fancy looking trikes.

They are the workers in uniform, dressed for service, for us mere mortals waiting for their news and whatnots, but mostly not.

They are the proud people of the postal services, these days a rather archaic job perhaps, as most of the stuff’s gone all digital.

But when all else fails, the computers being down, electrical surges being the cause, these postal workers, will bring our daily post!

Just, passing by

“I will be here, just for a while, not long, as I am, simply passing by” Gun Roswell

Just, passing by

Don’t mind me! As you were!

No need to move, as it’s just me, stumbling here on my own two feet, trying to sort it all out, so, hey, giving here a shout, of hello and well, guess goodbye too, as I can only stay for a few, the moments ticking by, and then it will be time for me to fly, leave, as in go away, why?

Well, I was only here for the while, you know, ‘cause I was just, passing by!

It’s neither good or bad, it just is

“There is no argument to good or bad, as it is all relative, at least to the point of view, as those who say good are often countered with another opinion, it being bad. Confusing? Yes, it is, good or bad, it’s all the same spread across the grey scale. “ Gun Roswell

It’s neither good or bad, it just is

Someone would argue, something being bad or good, a person, a show, a book, even a painting, I would say, no, that’s not true.

There is really nothing good or bad, it all simply exists and those daring to resist, are lying, as neither can be without the other.

Good, bad, it just is present there in all of us, in everything else, those two concepts, do not cancel each other out, rather are part of both, one big giant whole, the circle of life?

Bad, good or somewhere between, that is the goal really to seek, keeping it all in the grey area of things, never really tilting the scale to the one or the other.

Nothing is good or bad, it just is, and that is fine, once that is loudly admitted, just a rant of life, trying to be nice, but some days, bad to is fine.

Fun and the Sun

“Nothing like frolicking footloose and fancy free under the sun, and then taking a dive in the cool blue waters” Gun Roswell

Fun and the Sun

The month of June, came way too soon, as no time to prepare for what sun filled days laid ahead, but once getting over the overall thinking of somehow having to be prepared, simply to spend some time of and to spending it without an agenda, under the warming sun.

The mindset not easily adjusted, but once done, it was time to commence the long awaited task, because that is how some of us see it, but after some time and fashion, getting used to the very objective of it all, which is, not to plan and worry, rather embrace, the moment of fun.

From salad to strawberries

“The food while somewhere travelling, can be a highlight of the trip, at least, when it’s fresh and nicely displayed” Gun Roswell

From salad to strawberries

The smells, sounds and sights of the various foods sizzling ever so bright, hoping the tastes will become equal to such, as feeling peckish and wanting to have some, because this was part of the plan of the trip to a foreign land, to sample the cuisine, the excellent dishes, because I suspect there are no real misses, as to the palette so extreme, that most will be delicious, especially those made out of fresh produce.

From salad, the appetiser of the actual dish, as some think, while others simply enjoy their large portion of a plate, with all kinds of funky things added, some just for display, but trying all of it just the same, gobbling it all up, before the desert will arrive, from the plentiful bounty, and as it all looked too fine, it was so hard to chose, from the selection of divine, but, as soon as it was brought to table, those red juicy berries, could not wait to sample one, two, and more, yes, indeed, I had scored!

Mountainside

“The mountains are hard to conquer, at least from the point of few of a small bipedal being such as myself” Gun Roswell

Mountainside

The mountain too tall to climb alone, but I will try nevertheless, without too much in gear as I must confess, I have something to prove for myself.

Bare hands clutching to whatever there is to take a hold off, hauling up the rest of the body, at least until I can get a foothold of something solid.

So, keeping on the upward climb, only waiting for whatever there is up there I can find, as it is hopefully so much better than that of the below, getting high up, is the best right?

At least, that is what I am hoping, while getting ever more higher off the ground, as the rumours spoken down below, of something blissful and better, and so, here I go, looking for that treasure, even if it simply is to find, some peace of mind.

Blue Shutters

“The blue on white, is like a flag of pride, whether the country home or foreign, the is nothing boring about the blues” Gun Roswell

Blue Shutters

The cool blue shutters, staving off the burning midday sunny rays, after all, even the walls are pained, only in whites to keep away, the scorching warmth of the ever present sunshine, even if most of us feel it is fine, as a few rays never harmed anyone, but the constant bombardment of them, could easily be causing some heart palpation, to those dwellers whom live behind the cooling blue painted shutters on top of the windows small of their home, standing in direct sunlight, all year long.

The first season for the latest Star Trek TV show to stream on Paramount+, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, has just concluded with a strong episode (“A Quality of Mercy”) that represented the best stories of the season. The show is a spinoff of Star Trek: Discovery and another prequel to the original Star Trek. In this case, the show chronicles the voyages of the starship Enterprise under the command of Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) a few short years before Captain James T. Kirk assumed command.

Getting this out of the way, this series is fantastic with its much needed and refreshing back-to-basics approach for Star Trek. The franchise has been faltering lately with subpar live-action entries, Star Trek: Discovery and the second season of Star Trek: Picard. However, the franchise feels reinvigorated now with the new series. A huge part of the success of

Shadows of light

“The midday sun is once again, making is play around, casting curious figures in all the shadows across each and every surface” Gun Roswell

Shadows of light

The multitude of sun light, casting so many shadows again, in the warmth of the midday plight, painting tall shadows to each and every surface there is to find, tell tale signs of a surprise, left behind, those curious figures for the mere mortals to admire and to figure out the purpose, if any, what was left behind.

Arch all the way to the end

“The many arches on the way, gently swaying in the mid day sun, during the walk to the very end” Gun Roswell

Arch all the way to the end

The long hallways, the ceiling arched, kind of smart if you think about it, the builders making it all so interesting, as those bricks laid long time ago, still remain in pristine and exact conditions as then, as in the before.

Taking a long stroll, walking slowly, without any kind of hurry, admiring the craftsmanship of it all, the very tall, pillars still standing there, absolutely bold, against time and us, small fleshy beings seeking for shelter, under the roof arching.
