Open the gateway

“That looks like a gateway to the past” Gun Roswell

Open the gateway

The gateway on to the
Beach appeared, out of nowhere, in a
Flash of light, it was

Standing there, where nothing before
It existed. Now it is open wide
For anyone to enter, if you

Really dare, then take a
Leap and jump back in time into
The past of all time

Just remember, you may not
Get back, but that is a risk
Well worth taking, so stop

Your shaking and take the
Step, one small step for mankind and
Who knows what you’ll find

Whatcha looking at

Posted in Haiku

“Hey, you, are you looking at me?” Gun Roswell

Whatcha looking at

What the hell are you
Looking at? Is there something wrong in
The way I appear to

You? Would you want me
To change something in my appearance perhaps
Or just my face huh?

I don’t like people staring
I don’t enjoy them throwing food at
Me either, so stop now!

I am not a cow
But a really gorgeous Swan, you see
No? Just look at my

Reflection on the water’s surface
I am so damned good looking, no
One here in my kingdom

Dare to challenge me, or
Is it you, who will be the one?
Then I say: game on!

Waterfall

“Sitting in peace and quiet, listening to the water fall” Gun Roswell

Waterfall

Under the waters of cool
Falling over onto my tired, aching body
The purity of it all

Makes me feel so tall
Washing away all, under this watery wall
I stand, silent and contempt

Black cat

Posted in Haiku/Halloween

“A black cat crossed the road…
…Yes, and?” Gun Roswell

Black cat

A black cat on Halloween?
How quaint it is, seems all the
Cliches coming to life huh?

But it cannot help its
Colour, nor that it looks like something
Out of a story book

It’s just a cat, gorgeous
One at that, but still, an animal
Living its life, on the

Streets, trying to get feed
And if it happens to be on
All hallows eve, then fine

It seems even more divine
And trick or treat, it won’t be
Defeated, by some scary humans

Happy Halloween to One and All!

Three times the Halloween

Posted in Haiku/Halloween

“Scary times are ahead of us…
… Maybe” Gun Roswell

Three times the Halloween

The black cat met the
Black crow in the eerie night forest
They decided to scare the

Shit out of all Hoomans
On this hallows eve, including their neighbour
Steve, and I do believe

There were not a dry
Pair of pants in the house, when
Even the mouse soiled itself

Pond (part two)

“On the green pond, I sit and ponder” Gun Roswell

Pond

The flowers at the pond
Quietly on the waters calm surface flow
Nothing stirs them, nothing moves

Until a gust of wind
Makes a motion, causing all of them
To start towards each other

Flow, soon finding patterns only
Limited by my own imagination, nature’s tools of
Art best used here, now

Pond (part one)

“On the green pond, I sit and ponder” Gun Roswell

Pond

On the lush green pond
I stare at the water and ponder
What would life be if

A fish or flower would
I be instead of this human corps
What if I was to

Dive in, would I turn
Or stay the same? Maybe changing would
Be the best option now

A seat in black and white I one

Posted in Seat Sunday

“So many seats to choose from” Gun Roswell

A seat in black and white

A chair,
So comfy
When seated,
You hear
The “umpf”-ies
None too wide
None too narrow
Just perfect
For any kind
Of derrière

Once you seat in
It will take you for a spin
Into the la la lands
Like laying on soft sand

The power
Of this chair
So deep
You want it
For your lair
Sleep in it
Eat in it
You will never
Get another
Like this

Ship ahoy!

Posted in Haiku

“Hailing a ship, may sound easy” Gun Roswell

Ship ahoy!

Ship, ship, please, do stop!
I want to step on board and catch
A ride, sail on the

Ocean, with the best of
Them, but alas, I am a mere
Hitchhiker, of the waters, and

Trying to catch a ride
Is very hard, but please pick me
I will work so hard!

Solitary sailing

“Solitary is a mood and a place” Gun Roswell

Solitary sailing

Sailing in my tiny dingy
Across the open seas, as far as
I can be, I have

No schedules and no one
To tell me I cannot do it
For I am sailing solo
