EMBRACE YOUR GEEKINESS DAY: JULY 13 2017

“Trekkies, Star Wars Fans, Whovians, Pokemon fans to Final Fantasy nerds, LARP’ers to Medieval Reenactors, rise up and be proud! Don your Lyre Pipe hats and your rattan swords, polish up your gunblades and bundle up your pokeballs, Embrace Your Geekness Day is for you! No matter what your fandom or what impassions you to creativity and brings a skip to your step, cry it loud and proud! The Geek and fan community is truly one of the most amazing and creative groups out there, and every year more geeks are crying their fandoms loud and proud”

“Being a geek is something to be proud of – chances are there are few other people in the
world who are as smart as you are in the field of your specific interest, may it be music,
video games, comics, movies, renaissance-era jewelry making techniques, or astronomy. So accept your geekiness with open arms and show off your knowledge with pride!”

Happy Birthday Sir Pat!

“A couple of years ago, I was asked, ‘How would you like to be remembered?’ And my answer was ‘That I was very funny.’” Sir Patrick Stewart

Happy Birthday Sir Pat!

Main Pat Stew

Totally charming
Maybe even utterly harming
When you make us laugh
And make us cry
With a voice like that
Sir Pat in a hat
Canny as a cat
Who could resist
Of being kissed
By a great fellow
You’re hell of’
An actor, a Captain and a King
And even able to sing!

Wishing you a merry, happy and utterly great Birthday
And as the cliche goes, if I may

“Live Long And Prosper
Oh, Captain of Captains!”

Staycation!? I second that emotion!

Until recently, I did not know that there existed a word called “Staycation“. staycation steɪˈkeɪʃ(ə)n/ noun informal a holiday spent in one’s home country than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions. I learnt it at the school. Everyone (almost) have plans to go somewhere the day the school term ends. Names of […]

Colourful, aren’t We?

There can never be
Too much of colour
Bringing out, the best in me
As I out loud holler

“I know that if odour were visible, as colour is,
I’d see the summer garden in rainbow clouds”

Colour in the Shadows

There it lurks
In the deep dark shadows
Soon bursting out, in fireworks
In one big colourful pose

Christmas in Summer

“Green was the silence, wet was the light,
the month of June trembled like a butterfly.”
― Pablo Neruda

Christmas in Summer

It’s almost, like Christmas
In the month of June
Nature, ever so fearless
When summer, came so soon

Reds and greens
Pretty, in every scene
Something, unseen
On this, widest of screens

Is it live or memorex?
It’s as good, as any guess
But wouldn’t settle, for less
After all, the winter was, a big mess

Enjoy it, while it lasts
For this season, too, will pass
And if there is any chance
Record it all, en mass
