“Art is not a thing;
it is a way”

The Born One

On this day,
A little deary was born
Coming out tooting a horn

The cat said “well, we’ll wait and see!”
The dog retorted “is that something for me?”

The two mommies are in love
There is nothing more precious below or above

Now both aunties too, are happy
As long as they don’t have to change the nappy

Live long and prosper little Hon’
We know you were the long awaited one

“We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now”
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

A boat filled with flowers
Was a little too crowded for the rowers
So instead, they rode a lawnmower
Before the grass grew any taller

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

“Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.”

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Row your boat
Round the moat
Let it gently float
But watch out
For the big goat!

“I now find magic in the mundane.
I’m also more creative –
better able to look beyond the obvious and
come up with new story angles.”

Textures in white and grey
Made of stone, so not to fade
Others only a while stay
Before slowly melting away

Possibly, by the human kind
If the owner you try to find
Then be prepared for quite the ride!

“Oh Sunlight! The most precious gold to be found on Earth.”

One Sunrise and Two Sunsets

Oh, what a pleasant surprise
When early in the morning
A reddish-blue sky
Pleasing the eyes
Promising a magnificent sunrise

One Sunrise and Two Sunsets

When the working day ends
The setting sun in the far horizon
Is just the perfect reason
For a moment in the yard spend

One Sunrise and Two Sunsets

When the evening wind blows
Reflected in the windows
A moment in the setting sun
Before the day is done
