Shadows upon Seats

“There is always a seat when you need one” Gun Roswell

The warm sun shining in the blue skies and I find myself whining to the simple fact of too much heat and direct sunlight in my pale face. Trying very hard but there is simply no escape. But wait! What did I just spot in my peripheral vision but something most likely to be saving my over cooked bacon? A seat over there in the distant, and to be scarce, it’s residing in the only shadowy spot to be seen or found for miles on end. Could I really be that lucky and be the one, whom over there ion a few could run? Or is this simply a terrible joke, a mirage at the expense of my over heated delusional mind? Please please be kind and let me over there my way find and nothing more will I ever ask again. Well, not until the next time when I’m in trouble again, so talk then as now I need to get to my precious seat on the cool shadows and plenty of rest there spend until it’s  time to say, when and get going again.

Cat naps, the good ones!

“Cats like to nap, quite a lot, and that seems to be the only constant in the universe” Gun Roswell

Cats sleeping? In the middle of the day? In the perfect sunlight of a spot? Sounds like something all of us would like in to partake! It’s a most ingenious way of life, especially when you are lucky enough to live in a warm house, then pick and choose your perfect spot and take the nap without any doubt. Indeed, a life so perfect and without much stress, simply sleeping without caring any less of the going ons off of the world around, simply dreaming while in a sleep sound. And hey, who could blame them, as this is the most efficient way of spending a day!

So, Hoomans, why not follow the example, of these furry felines, who are not lying, when the are lying as it were, snoring and dreaming and all of that scheming going on? Perhaps, but who knows what goes on in the mind of a deep sleeper, so do the best thing, and find the best spot, maybe not on the floor but wherever more comfortable imaginable, then take a load off, and dream away the day. After all, life, is supposed to be a dream, right?

Friday, the 13th? Can’t be!

“Happy Friday the 13th. Satan texted me saying to watch my back… with a winky face. Should I be worried perhaps?” Gun Roswell

The tale told below
Was it based on a true story?
Or just pure fiction?

That, my dear reader
Is for the writer to know
And for you to enjoy!

As I arrived in the office, the place seemed more quiet than usual.
At least this early in the morning.
Sitting in my seat, pondering, where everyone else were.

No emails, no calls
No contacts at all
Had I mistaken?
Or too early awoken?
Was this a wrong day?
A Saturday, a Sunday?

Thinking about it, the traffic had been oddly light.
Even though it had been early morning time.

After a few hours of waiting in solitude, people I had never seen, entered the room.
Talking in strange languages, sounding like a record been played back the wrong way.
I was observing them. They did not seem to notice me.

Passing me by
Wondering why
Seemed like a dream
So unreal did it seem

I tried to greet one of them. I kept repeating
Hello, hello, HELLO!

But unnoticed
Even by the closest
Visitor did I go

Getting irritated, I did no longer hesitate.
Jumped in front of the nearest stranger.
I did not feel I was in any danger.
Waved my arms and shouted.
Like a mad person undoubted
.
But nothing, no nothing stirred the strangers.
As if I wasn’t even there…

Maybe, just maybe
I had turned invisible
Or maybe,
It was all, just a dream

After all
It was Friday the 13th!

Roaming in Nature

“Yes, it’s outside and yes, it’s still warm, and sure, there are lots to see, like all the colours of flowers and trees!” Gun Roswell

There are colours
And there are odours
All of them varied
Not really used sparingly
Mother Nature at her best
And it’s no jest
The colours captivating
For your perusal only waiting!

Nature in September

“A nature walk is something of a luxury these days for most. But, if you get the chance, taking a walk, in the garden, the surrounding fields, perhaps even a forest, see all them colours of, Autumn.” Gun Roswell

Roaming around the Hood
Because the weather was really good
Clouds floating in the blue sky
Wishing if only I could fly
The sun warm on my skin
Melting the coldest of Finns
Colours burning bright
Ideas taking flight
Snap, click, snap, click
Hoping to score some great pics
So here they are
I didn’t walk too far
But still got a great bunch
In a time it takes to have lunch

Sunken ships, hidden treasure?

“Thar be treasure in them sunken ships, Arrrrrrrr!” Gun Roswell

Sunken boats
With hidden treasure inside
So don’t forget
To bring lots of totes
For this adventure
As you’ll never know
What you may just find!

September in Suburbia, the Garden

“This year, the nature won’t fear, the coming of winter, rather dwelling in the warmth of the fall, bringing out all the colours so fabulous.” Gun Roswell

Something about this time of the year
There is no fear, the closeness of it all so real
At least for a while that is
As soon, there will be change in the air
The winter closing in, I fear

Live Long and Prosper!!!

September rain falling

“Surprisingly, in fall, the autumn as it is also called, it does rain, because, the rainy season? At least up in the North, where the author dwells.” Gun Roswell

Rain, rain, rain
Falling down all them plain
The little liquid droplets
On each and every surface
Bringing forth all the colours of autumn
Fully now, as they do blossom

Another sunrise?

“So, this is a surprise for sure! Another sun, is on the rising? Well, at least one up there, but yeah, it’s going to do it again today, so precious much?” Gun Roswell

Sunrise, higher than high
In the early September sky
Over the morning clouds
The sun has spread its shroud
Blues and reds playing in a mix
Eyes staring completely transfixed
The cool crisp air caressing
Almost feels like singing a song
Just because
