Red Berries to Eat (part one)

Red, juicy, inviting, loosing it, gobbling up all that stuff… strawberries, please!” Gun Roswell

Berries of red
Eaten in bed
For breakfast and dinner
Just wish I had a cleaner

Red and juicy
Are these berries
Might enjoy even with sherry
But I think it would be too fruity

Berries in various colours
Never mind some of the odours
Eat them with gusto
And life healthy is a must

A Dreary Night on the Bench

Sleeping in the park, on a hard bench? Yeah, well, it happens to people a lot more often than you might think, and it’s not even Halloween!” Gun Roswell

A Dreary Night on the Bench

Surrounded by dark and misty air
Missed the very last fare
Sitting on this, park bench
Wishing I had worn a warm trench
The eerie, dark and damp surroundings
Leaving my heart pounding
Not a single soul in sight
On this mystical, scary night
Wrapping my thin coat tighter
My mood getting suddenly lighter
I hear some noises
A car in the distance, approaches
Finally… do I have a ride!?!

Watcher Cat The Watcher Cat Watcher Cat

“There, in the shadows, it lurks, watching all of the hood” Gun Roswell

The Watcher Cat

The watcher cat, at his usual post
Neatly staying, in the very same pose
In his prey, he seems totally engrossed
Or maybe, he just ate a large roast
And now digesting, is the most
Task he is able for the moment, to coast

An island on a volcano (three)

“Fascinating, fantastic, surprising, odd but in a good way?” Gun Roswell

An island on a volcano

A land filled with rocks and lava
Taking it easy with a cup of java
Especially since it’s as hot as a sauna
But still, this is almost complete nirvana

An island on a volcano (two)

“It’s just so dark and dreary, the sand of the beaches?” Gun Roswell

An island on a volcano

A road trip to a nearby village
If we were Vikings, we’d certainly pillage
A quaint little place
A while everyone stays
But later it’s time to set sail
And back to the resort trail

An island on a volcano (one)

“Vamos a la playa! Or so the locals keep telling me” Gun Roswell

An island on a volcano

Into the harbour and down to the beach
Plenty of scenery if that’s what you seek
Blue skies, sunshine and warm weather
How could the holidays get any better?

Centipede of the trees

forest-6

“It looks like a bug, but it acts like a tree, tell me, what do you see?” Gun Roswell

Centipede of the trees

A monster in the deepest forest?
Something scary and perhaps a little horrid?
Nah, it’s just a tree, being rather modest
After all, it just might be related
To a long legged centipede

Look Up!!!

forest-3

“You’ll never know what you may find hidden in the deepest of forests”
Gun Roswell

Look Up!!!

When in the forest of so very deep
You finally may find what you seek
Never miss a beat
Only remember to look up
But try not to stumble over a stump

Shadows and seats

“There is always a seat when you need one” Gun Roswell

Shadows and seats

The warm sun shining in the blue skies and I find myself whining to the simple fact of too much heat and direct sunlight in my pale face. Trying very hard but there is simply no escape. But wait! What did I just spot in my peripheral vision but something most likely to be saving my over cooked bacon? A seat over there in the distant, and to be scarce, it’s residing in the only shadowy spot to be seen or found for miles on end. Could I really be that lucky and be the one, whom over there ion a few could run? Or is this simply a terrible joke, a mirage at the expense of my over heated delusional mind? Please please be kind and let me over there my way find and nothing more will I ever ask again. Well, not until the next time when I’m in trouble again, so talk then as now I need to get to my precious seat on the cool shadows and plenty of rest there spend until it’s  time to say, when and get going again.

Sleepy Cat

cat3

“The cat usually likes to nap, a lot it seems!” Gun Roswell

Sleepy Cat

Sleepy eyes
Still a spy

In this house
Maybe a mouse?

‘Oh that louse
Will not escape
My scrape!
No, not this time
No, that would be
A big crime!’
