Black cat

“Cat hair all over!” Gun Roswell

Black cat

A black cat sat
In the middle of the street in ease
She did not move an inch
Not even in a tight pinch
Passers by needed to slide
This cat sitting so wide

Proud face and nose up
Nothing would her mood stop
Gazing at the skies as far as the crow would fly
The black cat’s attitude was snide
Sassy and bossy, with fur so glossy
She was the owner, the queen of this street

Cats-a-lot

“Time spent with cats is never wasted” Sigmund Freud

cats-a-many

Cats-a-lot

Cats in stripes
Cats all white
Cats that are black
Cats which are gray
Cats in a six pack
Cats who are stray

Take one home
You’re never alone
The time spent
With your cat
Even if a chat
Is never complicated
And never wasted

Cat Lisa with Mona

“The cat on the lap of the known lady, what is that about?” Gun Roswell

Cat Lisa with Mona

The cat was laying on
The lap of the lady quite known
Captured in an image painted

A long time ago, by
A renaissance man familiar to us all
How did we not notice

That darn cat before, sitting
Comfortably, smiling slightly, just like
The lady we all seen

Before, but as it is
There now, the cat with a tail
Will tell you new tales

“Cats, the rulers of the world” Gun Roswell

Cat of Saturday

Sitting on a chair, this
Is my lair, I am the cat
In white hair, look at

Me now, and before me
Bow, I am the ruler of this
This seat and this street

Worship me, bring me food
And maybe if I feel like it
I will let you pet

Me, but not before its
Late, because I don’t want anyone seeing
Me being a pussy cat,

After all I have a
Reputation to maintain, and that cannot be
Stained by any hooman, ever

Sleeping Beauty

“It’s a dog, not a cat?” Gun Roswell

Sleeping Beauty

Let the sleeping dogs lie
Even, if they gravity defy
Am eternal beauty
From a different perspective
Of his privacy be respective

Drooling and snoring
Maybe some dreams scoring
But the cuddly face adoring
Especially, when just waking
And widely yawning

The cuddly little mister
May dream of a sister
But this sleeping beauty
Will be ready for duty
Any time!

The cat, on a chair

“Caturday is my kind of Saturday” Gun Roswell

The cat, on a chair

A cat, just came out of its own lair
An now, he is sitting, on someone else’s chair
Owning, everything, some may say, is not fair
But try to tell the cat that, and he’ll give you a really good scare

The cat, is the master
It will make you go faster
Than you had ever thought
Just to go get him some froth

Dare, at him for long enough to stare
You’ll find out, your eyes will forgo a big dare
Just accept, the fact, that you’re his property
And no one, has to walk away, angry

Cats, Dogs and Ladies

Cats, dogs and ladies
All live under the same roof
A gentle mix of meows and woofs
Added with some ifs, buts and maybes

           caturday-3    caturday-4

A playful sparring match
For the appetite to catch
Before dinner time calls
And they arrive on all fours

caturday-2

What we can all agree upon
Is a comfortable seat to cuddle on
All gathering into the same spot
All together tight as a knot

The Dame and the White Cat (caturday)

The Dame and the White Cat

The dame with her white cat
Stepped in for a quick chat
Sat down and whisked off her hat
Ordered a coffee with milk non-fat

“Good evening dearie”
She said leering
“Nice weather we are having this evening”

That was all she said
Her conversation dropping dead
Just quietly sipping the beverage
As if looking for a leverage

I stood there staring
The silence more than unbearing
Wondering ‘what or who was this stranger
Were we all in danger?’

As if reading my mind
The lady put down the cup
And finally looked up
And with smile made of kind

She stated matter of factually
“I need more cats!”
As ipso facto, this was actually
A store, where one could purchase such things
