Bird in a Dire

It’s not a bird, on a wire
It tried hard, to get higher
But now, It’s just a bird, in dire
Sitting on that rock
For hours on end
Possibly in shock
Resilience not well spent
The bird now desperately sings

“Hey bird, just flap your wings
And fly away
Or you’ll end up someone’s prey”

Even changed my colours
So now, here on this fence

Gently down the path
If the bike should break down
Don’t get a frown
Put up your thumb
It won’t get numb
And just start to hitchhike
