“A woman can never have too many pairs of shoes” Gun Roswell

Pretty in Pink

I saw you in the store
To be honest, you were really hard to ignore
Pretty, in pink
Yes, we were in sync

I tried very hard to ignore
Away myself I tore

But then your loud yelling:
“Buy me, buy me,
I’ll be yours forever!”

Back to you soon propelling
Grabbing you with me
And soon, you will be mine, forever

Or at least after I pay at the cashier!

“This has been such a Monday! I wish I stayed in bed, and I wish that yesterday had never happened” Lisa Mantchev

Monday, Another Bloody Monday

Couldn’t sleep
So I woke up early
Still oh so tired
Logged on to my computer
Surprisingly, nothing worked
Tried and re-tried
Booted, hooted, shouted
Unfortunately to no end
The whole network was down
I was cut off,
From the world!
Another bloody Monday
Has just reared its ugly head…
…again

Monday, Bloody Monday

i-hate-mondays_1945

“Why is Monday so far from Friday, and Friday so near to Monday?”

Monday, Bloody Monday

Monday, bloody Monday
It is certainly not my fun day
Still five days until Friday
This could well be my die day

My calendar filled with meetings
No time for eating
Feeling like cheating
When trying to catch a break for peeing

No use in struggle or fighting
Almost worse than being struck by a lightning
Dealing with the disappointment
Because there is no ointment

Another working week has started
From my leisure time I was parted
Doing my best to survive
Just wishing to keep in the drive

Tell me, do I really hate Mondays
Or is it just the illusion of a fading Sunday?

gas station 1

“I’ve always thought space station is a great name. It should be like a gas station where we go for service and supplies before heading further out” Wally Schirra

Gas Station

A full service station; they said
Lowest of low prices; they promised
Leave with a smile on your face; big letters on the billboard

Drove to the pump
Filled the tank
Left with a blank expression on my face

“Some people are worth melting for”

Snow Cats (Daily Photo 2016-02-07)

“Speak no evil
See no evil
Hear no evil”

Made
Out of snow
Maybe
Just for show
The three snow cats
Are having
A silent chat

As the time flies
The three little spies
Are watching passers-by
Wondering why
They all are
In such a hurry

Mandatory: Yearly Vehicle Inspection

katsastus-2

My poor little cabby
You looked a little shabby
When the man in uniform
Wanted to check how you perform

Up into the air hoisted
Light to all places pointed
Every nook and crannie
Last but not least, your fanny
Inspected, suspected, subjected
Finally accepted and approved

With a grinn on your grill
Because I got stuck with the bill
But happily paid the dues
And out into the traffic we flew

“Good things come in small sizes”

Ode to My Little Car

It was a tiny little thing
Not the prettiest of the lot
The name had a soft ring
Almost like a plot

Fiesta…
Siesta…

Round and round in paces
Could see the look on others faces
‘Surely that is not the car to buy’
‘To her money she would kiss goodbye’

Trying it on for size I did
Smiling like a little kid
Spite what others may have though
This car was surely bought

It wasn’t quite what expected
Less is not more, had to respect it

Tempted by a car with muscle
The salesman tried to hustle
Something made me turn to look
The little car had gotten me hooked

Back and forth I went
Trying not to get bent
It was calling me I could hear
Trying hard not to get near

But
Fear not
Reason won in the end

After all
The muscle car was too tall
And lets face it
I got hitched

The tiny car was kin
All is well in the end

Lesson learned: Think big, buy small!

Reflected in the window
Fantasies
Of another tomorrow
Champagne and caviar
Poolside and up to par
