Little Engine that could

“Tiny little thing isn’t it!” Gun Roswell

Little Engine that could

Up the hill, real real slow
Down the hill, like the hard wind blows
The little engine flows

In the midst of winter
Like a tough young sprinter
No snow will it hinder

Achieving its daily goal
Wrapping the sleet around the pole
Even patching up a few holes

The little engine really can
Soon everyone is a fan
And winter, well no one gives a damn

Rain and Snow

“Winter really is a heartless bia-tch” Gun Roswell

Rain and Snow

Rain and snow together fell
Onto the frozen ground causing a spell
A cooled down liquid prefix
Of an icy mirror like surface

Where walking is impossible
And falling down most probable
But the beauty of it all still tempting
Maybe, for some ice skating

Rain and snow
Head to toe
Fell together in a row
Nature slow
But still in a flow
And boy, what a show!

Sunday, again!

“Sundays are the worst” Gun Roswell

Sunday, again!

Sunday has crept upon us again
It was just Friday a minute ago, then
This day turned up on the early morning clock
Without one single warning, we could not stop
The time from progressing further
No where to hide or turn there
Where we really wanted to go
Friday, and this time make it go slow

No more Sunday in the foreseeable future
This day, seems to be complete torture
A promise of silence and peace
A complete bliss and mind release
But what really happens on this day
Is the beginning of anxiety of the horrid Monday
When all freedom is ripped
And into the mundane rat race we are dipped
Where all hope goes to die
And our wings are clipped preventing us to fly

So why do I hate Sundays?
(Panic attack getting worse)

Because:
It’s the day next to Monday!!!

Just An Other Saturday?

“The sky may fall on our heads tomorrow”

Just An Other Saturday?

Early morning
Dark skies
The wind howling
The rain pours

Just an other Saturday morning
In a month of Winter

More darkness to follow
Life empty and hollow
Through the window
The outside world
Only but a blur

But,
Just look out!
Something happens
A single white flake
Then an other
Could it be…
Snowing?

Lightness surrounding
From the skies to the ground
Happy thoughts, clear mind
Nothing more need I find

On just an other Saturday

Early Morning on a Saturday

Early Morning on a Saturday

Too early
Airport calling
Surely
You wouldn’t want to
Miss the flight
It took so long
And one
Sleepless night
To get there
Where ever
You now wanted
To go

Breathe in
Breathe out
Let the morning air
Cool and thin
Hitting your skin
Clear all doubt
For soon
Sea and sun
Will replace
The mundane
And it’s not even
A Monday!
Get the pun?

A February Saturday
Opened up a gallery
Of a painted nature display
The setting sun
A web of colours spun
Across the horizon

Second Snow Fell

“Oh Winter, so,
you decided to enter our lives once again?!”
Gun Roswell

Second Snow Fell

The prettiest of them all
Is a surprise snow fall
When pristine snow flakes
The dark earth shakes

For a moment all covered in white
Even the darkest of nights
Shines a wanderer’s path so bright
She cannot help, but smile
This nature’s artistic delight
Here to last, at least for a short while

Snow in November
Will soon return to the sender
And all the wonder and splendour
Will be replaced, with rain none too tender

“Oh Winter, thou art a heartless bitch!”

First Snow Fell

Snow fell
What the hell?
If you can’t beat it
Just admit it:
You are defeated!

Dig deep in the closet
For that ensamble snow set
And remember what you bet:
Not to another winter,
Will my foot inside set!

So now in my window
Watching the snow fall
Mind wandering to a climate warm
With only sunshine and no storm
As the snow fell more steadily
I was sighing quite heavily

But just remember
Those rainy dark days in September
Guess snow in October
Will lighten the mood and nature
To a state of less hature!?
