Sunday before X-mas for Daily Photo (two)

“Sunday clears away the rust of the whole week”
Joseph Addison

Sunday before X-mas

Icing on the red vines
Blurring, all the straight lines
Nature’s tableau refined
Like an artist’s work, defined

Sunday before X-mas

Peeking behind the closed curtains
Heart beating, in uncertain anticipation
What mysteries, lie behind the window
On a Sunday, filled with falling snow

Feathery Flecks for Daily Photo (two)

Posted in Daily Photo: Photography and Poetry

“Wintery day,
On my horse
A frozen shadow.”
― Bashō Matsuo

Feathery Flecks

Still pretty never the less
Like a princess’ dress
In an icy press
Quite the nature’s success

Feathery Flecks

After the frozen night
When finally came light
Little feathery flecks
Against the window pressed

Feathery Flecks

Forming and reforming
Sitting pretty, performing
My boring window adorning
But way too soon
To water transforming

One Day in December for Daily Photo (two)

“December’s wintery breath is already clouding the pond,
frosting the pane, obscuring summer’s memory…”
― John Geddes

One Day in December

The sun is quickly fading, into the horizon
The sky turning grey, all colours soon to fade

One Day in December

The fire brightly burning, one flame slowly churning
The sun almost gone, merging, into the dark horizon

The setting sun, painted the sky in colours
Red, yellow, blue, even with a darker hue

Thursday for Daily Photo (two)

“This must be Thursday.
I never could get the hang of Thursdays.”
Douglas Adams

“Do you consider yourself lucky?”

She asked and turned towards Chucky,
Who was standing there mouth agape
Like he’d just seen a really odd ducky

“I guess…”

Chucky managed to stutter,
Pondering what next to utter
As the gorgeous sunset
Had his heart in a state of flutter
But soon, managed to recover
And out loud to only whisper

“Yes, I am very lucky”

Continuing staring
Up high
Into the red sky,
Still flaring

Thursday

thursday-1-b

Did you catch the last rays?
Did you see them fade away,
Into the night sky?
Did you wish you could fly?
If you are asking why,
Then, this must be Thursday!
