Ship in the Grey

“Sailing in the past, to the future” Gun Roswell

Ship in the Grey

Sailing in the past on the open seas forever seemingly to last

This method might not be the fastest of the safest method forward to move

Alas getting to the future so unsure?

Well, not in the hurry to do that just yet and so no jets but a slow boat

The sails flapping in the wind and when the mood swings

The sails will be lowered and the pace slower

This is the way to move, across the high seas

Never fast, wanting this special moment forever to last

They future out there somewhere, totally can wait

For this solemn sailor

Rain rain down the drain

“The droplets falling down, when it rains hard, they all end up on the ground“ Gun Roswell

Rain rain down the drain

Sometimes, or more often times, when it rains, it totally pours

The water coming down so fast it positively roars

But it’s a great feeling, a good thing, watching the droplets sing

The wells, the oceans filling with liquid so totally essential to the hilt

Also giving the onlooker a sense of smallness, a place of calmness

The world somehow safer than with the warming sun?

Then again, the next day after, frolicking out there in the light can be so much fun

Painting on the streets

“The artist sitting in their chosen place, never late, always there to take requests for those passing by, in a need of a smile.“ Gun Roswell

Painting on the streets

The streets filled with life

All kinds, all walks of life

Those simply passing by

But also those, making their living

Some selling things, others painting

Even a few perhaps singing

No matter what you might just be looking for

Some kind of a small score

Never is a bore though

Walking down the busy street

Perhaps getting off your feet

And letting the talented painter

Paint your essence onto the canvas

Preserved for the future

For those special memories

To be saved for eternity

On the rocks of the shore

“Close to the shore, almost on the rocks, but not quite, it was night, so parking was tight!” Gun Roswell

On the rocks of the shore

Parking problems? in the middle of the sea no less?

Never a good idea, especially when the visibility none too clear

Finding safe harbour can be quite tricky

During the times when the weather turns somewhat icky

And so avoiding them rocks close to shore might be a chore

But better to try then be caught up in a nasty storm

Guiding the boat to safety with the best possible precision

As going out despite he warning signs might have been a bad decision

Not feeling very Human without my Coffee

“The feeling of being, the sense of self, all of it gone, without my coffee!“ Gun Roswell

Not feeling very Human without my Coffee

They say to feel, to think, is human?

They say, a lot of things don’t they?

The single truth never spoken?

The very fact which makes some of us at least human?

The underlying truth of being?

Something even the scientist are trying to deny?

The government types keeping under wraps?

The ancient knowledge, the ancient secret?

The one thing only a few of us has stumbled upon?

The very fact of the human existence?

Coffee.

Another bout of rain

“It keeps on raining, the weather gods having a field day apparently, pouring more and more of the stuff on us“ Gun Roswell

Another bout of rain

Yeah, it rains on the plains

Just like the ole song says

But sometimes,

Too much is too much and as feeling such

I am writing this, stuff

A complaint of sorts

To those powers that be high above

As to the why pour onto us

The amounts of rain as you see

We have had enough!

The rain pour becoming reminiscent

Of the biblical proportions of the past

And we don’t know how to build an arc

At least not one taking us very far

The drains filled with water

The pots and pans the same

And who is to blame?

Guess us, we, ourselves?

Only I blame the weather gods

It’s so much simpler and easier

The sun’s shadows of tall
Cast on to the stone wall
Enjoying a moment of silence
In an instant quite timeless
Loosing all defiance
On this frozen
Snow covered bench

Trike

“You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a bicycle and that’s pretty close.”

Trike

Buy it, try it, ride it, it’s fun but slow, just the way to go!

Life in a Fishbowl

There’s such a fragile, thin veneer of illusion between the words “together” and “alone”.”
― Bradley Somer, Fishbowl

Life in a Fishbowl

Feeling glamourous
Standing tall
In this tiny fishbowl
I call home

Not so average
These see-through walls
Like a giant peep hole
In the twilight zone

Needing some leverage
I built a space small
Where my tired soul
Had time for its own

Now the damage
Of this famous ball
Is under control
And I, am finally, alone
