Remembering the Turn of the Year (Daily Photo 2016-01-12)

Colourful burst of light
Against the darkness
Of the night
The clocks are churning
The new year is turning
Time for a new hope
And a new future

Daylight Moon (Daily Photo 2016-01-09)

The cloudless blue evening sky
Bringing the moon out from its hide
Painted neatly into the landscape
With a uncompleted crescent shape

The eternal battle
Closer to a haggle
Between moon and sun
Had once more begun

“It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.” Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Through the Looking Glass (Daily Photo 2015-12-31)

Sunrise or sunset
High up for a reset
Destination, unknown
Flying, to a different zone
A new year
New destinations
There is no fear
Only new sensations

Staring out the window
Reflections of the past and now
Mirrored in the looking glass
Knowing only, time will pass
New year
New hopes
Prepaired on full gear
Despite the slippery slopes

“There’s something boring about people who have to go to an office for a living” Karl Lagerfeld

“In order of appearance”

In the early morning hours
From my mighty tower (yeah right!)
I looked outside from my window
I was lucky to stay indoors
Because, it was very dark despite
The glorious blanket of white
That had fallen down the day before
What a total score!
Someone else would say
It was actually a sarcastic “yay”
Which from my mouth out dropped
Before I had to stop
The sarcasm getting too darn…
Still, debating, whether outside to pop
Or stay inside by the warm
With my trusted coffee cup

Staring for a moment
Not wanting to get frozen
I still couldn’t tore away
Transfixed,
Almost jinxed
Standing there
Looking at the open lane
Nothing stirred,
Well maybe something
I noticed one thing
A neighbour outside then came
Starting a task
Possibly with a help from “the flask”
Scraping the car
Trying to rid off
All the ice and snow
Not getting too far
Because the sky was pouring
More of the white stuff

Still standing in my spot
Looking at the clock
Ticking away
Not wanting to get to the boring
Part of my day
You all know what I mean
But, no good comes from just a lean
Tearing away, to my trusted laptop
With almost a scoot and a hop
Started reading, typing,
Huffing and puffing (but of course)
Soon I was in a swing
Troubles and solutions
Solved with a swing

Before I realized
The night was upon us
Time to shut down
Let the evening gown
Dress me down
And a little later
That darn traitor
Sleep, get me
And to other worlds flee
For tomorrow
Back in to the flow
Of another working day
I needed to play

“The brain is a wonderful organ; it starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you get into the office” Robert Frost

“In order of appearance”

No, this is not a weather report and certainly not Mundane Monday post (that I already did on Monday, so check it out too 😉 )

You can call this, “‘Till Wednesday”, if you like. There will be no glitter, no glamour, no sunsets nor sunrises (well, maybe, still a few).

Simply depicted in photographs, how yet another working week started, after the holiday season was over and it was time to return back to everyday life in suburbia and back to world of office, well, this week, home office.

Enjoy!

Basking in the Sun (Daily Photo 2015-12-28)

The working day has begun
Must admit it, just no fun
Looking out the window
Seeing cold weather and snow

Just for a moment
My mind wanders
Back to holidays
Back to the time
When I was

It’s a bike?
It’s a trike?
No, it’s a Super bike!

Three wheels
Check out
How it feels
Ride a trike
It’s just like a bike
Only much more
Fun!

“The skies are falling down on us!”

Christmas Celebration in a Different Style (Daily Photo 2015-12-26)

Spin that bottle
In full throttle
The ceiling covered
With all sorts of bottles
Blue and white
Shining so bright
Who ever told us
The skies would fall upon us
Failed to mention
The bottles were fastened
Into the ceiling!

Fabulous Friday 2015-12-25

Rocking around
The Christmas pool
Having a happy holiday!

The sun above
Up in the sky
Shining all so bright
On this gorgeous day!

It’s a Fabulous Friday!

No elves, reindeer
Nor Santa in sight
They must have
Taken a flight
Either to
The North Pole
Or maybe even
Hitting the pool!

Never mind
Where they are
They couldn’t have gone
Much too far

The holiday tree
Is set for thee
Maybe even
Something free

Happy Holidays and a Fabulous Friday,
One and All!
