Chocolate is The Answer, Who Cares What the Question is!

An homage to chocolate in honour of National Chocolate Day, 2015-10-28

“October 28
If you’re a chocoholic, then you have two more chocolate days to celebrate! World Chocolate Day is on September 4 and National Chocolate Day is on October 28. Today, take the time to enjoy one of the most popular desserts in the world.”

Chocolate is The Answer, Who Cares What the Question is!

You may be iconic
But also diabolic
It’s quite symbolic
To call me a ‘holic
But still I frolic
When I get glycogenic

Pining for your taste
Of the full flavour laced
With truffles
My mouth muffled
When I eat
My favourite treat

My life in dire straits
Would be
Without the traits
You offer me
Oh sweet Chocolate
Thee

Caturday, 2015-10-24

In honour of Caturday, for all cats everywhere

“A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere” Groucho Marx

Caturday, 2015-10-24

When the black cat
Was crossing the street
She was chasing a rat
Trying to act discreet
Hiding behind a big hat
Awaiting her treat

The grounded bat
Knew he tasted sweet
Stood still on the mat
There was no time to greet
Only time, for combat

After a long while
Both standing still
Trying to act hostile
But without thrill
So instead of the usual
They decided in mutual

This tale’s end
Will the norm bend
Cat and mouse decided
To shake their paws delighted
The lesson of this tale?
Sometimes it’s good to fail

Fabulous Friday

“I understand what’s it like to work all week and on Friday night just want to go and leave your brain at the door, buy some popcorn and be thrilled by something” Don Cheadle

Fabulous Friday

sparkly wine 2    strawberries

Leaving the working week far behind
I really have no idea how I ever survived
Fabulous Friday knocking at the door
Awaiting to carry me to a different shore

A glittering sequin dress, a pair of high heels
This is as good as it gets and feels
Leave your sad face and the bad place
Awaited Fabulous Friday is finally here

Prancing, dancing
Singing, winning
There is no stopping us
Well, not at least until the bus
Has arrived to take us home

Monday with(out) Coffee

What is a Monday
But a slow day of Sunday
Without coffee
It’s just a faded copy

It’s just what you seek
So, don’t hesitate
Go ahead, start the week
With a fresh, clean slate

Make your way
To the coffee maker
For a while stay
After all,
You deserved a break

SL WEEK 15: Communications; Lesson in Water Guns

A response to Sylvain’s challenge theme of communications
“Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something” Plato

SL WEEK 15: Communications; Lesson in Water Guns

“So listen carefully, because I shall say this only once”

Others nodding in unison.

“This is the safety, once you pull it back, you can shoot.”

Everyone staring in awe and with a bewildered look on their faces.

“You know what a safety is?”

“Um…” “Um” “No?”

“OK, I will show you one more time. Now watch and listen carefully!”

SL WEEK 15: Communications; Hot Gossip

“Say what?”
“I was asking did you hear about Toddy?”
“What about Toddy?”
“I said Toddy got his back burnt badly and was taken to the hospital.”
“Oh, too much sun?”
“Sun?”
“Yes, sun. From laying on the beach?”
“No, I heard it was a cooking accident.”
“Cooking?”
“Yeah, apparently his sausages overboild!”

World Wide Wednesday Presents: Mallorca, Part Four, Night

“Travel like Ghandi, with simple clothes, open eyes and an uncluttered mind.” Rick Steves

World Wide Wednesday Presents: Mallorca, Part Four, Night

The evening filled
With colourful lights
Cool wind chilled
Time to head inside
The Aquarium a choice
Listening to sealife’s voice
Sharks swimming in tanks
Where a ship had sank
Luminescent jellyfish
But not served as a dish
Enjoying the night life
Of this little town in south

No Bra Day; Set your Tata’s free (2015-10-13)

In honour of The Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2015

“Once I overcame breast cancer, I wasn’t afraid of anything anymore” Melissa Etheridge

No Bra Day; Set your Tata’s free

Boobs, Mounds, Titties, Cha-chas
Hooters, Globes, Bosom, Tatas
What a stigmata
Even a few sonatas
Written for the female breasts
That tantalizing heaving chest
But today is a reminder
That they kind of
Have a limited warranty
Which comes with a guarantee
For a regular maintenance cycle
Because this is one product
You cannot recycle
So with that knowlegde
Schedule your appointment
To avoid any unnecessary ointments
Let’s all celebrate today
With a great big hooray
Your face in an impish glee
Set your Tata’s free
Just for today

Stuck Between a Poem and a Hard Place

An homage to Poetry

PoetryQuote4_zpsa4587647

“Breathe-in experience, breathe-out poetry” Muriel Rukeyser

Stuck Between a Poem and a Hard Place

I am a poet
But did not know it
Now I am writing
Lyrics without biting
The bullets
My mind to the fullest
Hammering the keyboard
Not a big chore
No, not anymore

Ever since I started
I cannot be parted
From the blank page
That clean slate
Words pouring
My heart roaring
I feel elevated
Totally animated
Full of excitement

I am completely and utterly
Lost in Poetry

A poem a day keeps the Shrink away!

A Wanna-be Drag Queen

Gun Roswell's avatarRantings Of A Third Kind

“I Look Fuckin’ Cool” – Adore Delano & Alaska Thunderfuck

A Wanna-be Drag Queen

There is just something
to be said
About a man
in a dress
Not one hair
in a mess
Everyone staring
at big earrings

A Sculpted body
and lean legs
The woman embodies
A honey trap?
but into the spiders webs

Sickening
Gorgeous
Bickering
Flawless
Fabulous
Marvelous

Out of this world
Down the runway they swirled
Looking fucking cool
All we do is drool

You better work
With your lips in a smirk
It’s just a quirk
Don’t let it irk

I may be a woman
Must come clean
Maybe an omen
But I’m a wanna-be drag queen

“It’s not personal, It’s just drag” – Alyssa Edwards
