Snow, snow, snow,
I see lots of snow
Snow over here
And snow over there
Snow I can see everywhere!

Sunday, Snowy Sunday for Daily Photo

sunday-1

Early Sunday morning in suburbia
The whole neighbourhood
On the verge of a hypothermia
Cranking up the heat
Pumping up the beat
Kids are pulling out their skis
The watchdog everything sees
Making sure no one flees
Snowy weather soon sinking in
Then the wintry fun is about to begin

A Winter’s Tale (Winter has arrived)

Posted in Winter has arrived: Photography, Poetry and Humour

“Winter is coming” George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

A Winter’s Tale

winter-tale-4

When stepping outside
Much to surprise
A freezing wind
Is greeting your skin
Rubbing your eyes
Hoping, only lies
But, waking to reality
Accepting the actuality
A cover of white
May be a delight
After the lush of green
You have seen
All summer long
Trying to stay strong
It’s here to stay
Pushing away
The slowly creeping
Sinking feeling
Don’t get bitter
It’s only winter

Down the Hill (Winter has arrived)

Posted in Winter has arrived: Photography, Poetry and Humour

A society that gets rid of all its troublemakers goes downhill” Robert A. Heinlein

Down the Hill

downhill-7-1

When ever there is snow on the ground
And a small mountain or a molehill found
The kids will arrive in flocks
Dragging their sleighs to the top

“Mommy, mommy, look at me!
Look how fast I am going!
Oops, look, there’s a tree!”

<Crash, bang, boing>

“Mommy, mommy, look no teeth!”

The kid only laughingly stated
As back up hill he ventured
If only to once more ride
Before getting his dentures

Tracks in Snow (Winter has arrived)

Tracks

winter-morning_2

Early morning after snowfall
The snowy blanket filled with footfalls
The early birds got up for skiing
And down the snowy road now fleeing

Frost (Winter has arrived)

Frost

Like the icing on a cake
Or a frozen yoghourt and a milkshake
The window filled with frosted flakes
Away your breath will take

My Spot for Seat Sunday

My Spot for Seat Sunday

my-spot-1

I love to travel
I like to work
I am a social kind of extrovert
Life will take me to many places
Different people different spaces
But in the end what matters the most
Is always returning to my favourite post
My Spot
Right, where I left it

Caturday: The Girl, Dog and Cat

The girl happily around struts
In her new rock’n’roll haircut

“What, what, what???”
The dog could not believe that stuff

The cat had her own opinion
“It’s obvious she was influenced by the minions”

“Ready for our close-up,
Miss DeSolingius”

The trio shouted
As, in front of the camera
They all strutted

“Photography is like a moment, an instant.
You need a half-second to get the photo.
So it’s good to capture people when they are themselves.”
