“If there’s a ‘Cruel Summer’ then there’s got to be a ‘Cruel Winter,’ right? That’s all I’m saying” Q-Tip

Sunday, One

Soft snowflakes falling down to the ground
Like confetti thrown on a celebrating crowd
Covering everything in a white shroud
Looking like the skies fluffiest clouds
Enjoying the scenic vision feeling proud
Before the snowy blanket gets ploughed

“There are two seasons in Scotland: June and Winter” Billy Connolly

Winter, Winter

Oh winter, winter
You are such a splinter
In our collective derrières

Oh winter winter
I am using my printer
Producing images of summer

Oh winter winter
The whitish tinter
Gets old really fast

Oh winter winter
Do I really sound bitter
Just kidding, I’ll get by 😉

“Now is the winter of our discontent” William Shakespeare

Sunset

A flash of light
Breaking the gray skies
It was a sight
But oh how time flies
The sun
Has set

“No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn” Hal Borland

Footsteps

There are no missteps
Just follow my footsteps
And you may find
A reward of a different kind..
…A pair of woollen socks

“You can’t get too much winter in the winter” Robert Frost

Window view

Outside it’s cool and crispy
The clouds are hanging low
It’s just another day in January
With quite a lot of snow
Sitting in my home office
The images quite flawless
Admiring the window views
In my hand my favourite brew

“Winter covers the world in crystal white magic” Carolyne Roehm

Frosted

Like icing on the cake
Frosting forms on the window
Where ever the wind cold blows
The fragile frozen flakes
Suddenly, without warning, appearing
Before once more disappearing
Shapes for the imagination
The nature’s true creation
Trying them to capture
Preserve for the future
Always fails
The only thing, which remains
Is a tall tale
Without any trail

“Cement doesn’t give as much as snow” Shaun White

Snow, Part Three

Close to night fall
The sun about to set
The moon coming out
Time for a nap
Before the next day
Begins
