“I like to make the mundane fabulous whenever I can”
Rufus Wainwright
Pavement
Lights reflected
Onto the pavement
Making a statement
Before disappearing
Into the basement

“I now find magic in the mundane.
I’m also more creative –
better able to look beyond the obvious and
come up with new story angles.”

Spick & Spanned for Mundane Monday
All spick and spanned
The little vehicle in the colour of tan
Shiny and looking good
Like something store bought and new
Ready for the winter roads
Driving steady, as she goes!
Oh, and away got the snow dusted
Before the police busted!

Rear View Mirror for Mundane Monday
There must be an error
In the rear view mirror
Cannot see much clearer
If anything is coming nearer!

Textures for Mundane Monday

Textures in white and grey
Made of stone, so not to fade
Others only a while stay
Before slowly melting away

Tracks for Mundane Monday
Tracks left behind
Possibly, by the human kind
If the owner you try to find
Then be prepared for quite the ride!

Freaky for Mundane Monday
Eerie
Totally eerie
Surroundings quite blurry
In the small village
So don’t set on pillage
And acting the dare-y
There may be a spillage
Of something scary
In the tiniest of villages

Freaky for Mundane Monday
A village
Revealed by the rising sun
A tiny little village, pardon the pun
Where life lived in slow motion
None daring to raise any commotion
Not even the sound of a locomotion
continued in part two

Freaky for Mundane Monday
Riding through the centre
Without much notion
Happy may they be
As far as you and I can see
But be careful there not to flee
Or you may end up crazy

“I think it’s better to be overly ambitious and fail than to be under ambitious
and succeed in a mundane way. I have been very fortunate. I failed upward in my life!”
Francis Ford Coppola
Roof Tops
Hop, skip, pop
Over the roof top
Doing a flip and flop
For nothing,
Will ever me stop
