Another bout of rain

“It keeps on raining, the weather gods having a field day apparently, pouring more and more of the stuff on us“ Gun Roswell

Another bout of rain

Yeah, it rains on the plains

Just like the ole song says

But sometimes,

Too much is too much and as feeling such

I am writing this, stuff

A complaint of sorts

To those powers that be high above

As to the why pour onto us

The amounts of rain as you see

We have had enough!

The rain pour becoming reminiscent

Of the biblical proportions of the past

And we don’t know how to build an arc

At least not one taking us very far

The drains filled with water

The pots and pans the same

And who is to blame?

Guess us, we, ourselves?

Only I blame the weather gods

It’s so much simpler and easier

A road to nowhere

“Sometimes one simply needs to take a road, leading to nowhere much, the journey the point, not the destination“ Gun Roswell

A road to nowhere

The red bus or the black taxicab, biking, hiking or even slow walking, it really does not matter which mode you just might be choosing

The main goal is not to goal, rather enjoy the journey ahead, no matter how hard or sad, there is always something to be taken away from all that

At the end the goal might just shine, but even if you won’t reach it, either in time or at all, the best of it all, are the gained friends, the memories in the brain’s store

Cast on to the stone wall
Enjoying a moment of silence
In an instant quite timeless
Loosing all defiance
On this frozen
Snow covered bench

The smart cat in the spot

“The cats always choose their places in those spaces given to them, and then it will be their spot and no one else’s” Gun Roswell

The smart cat in the spot

The cat in a chair sat, just because it was apt to do so

For hours on end, would they time on the chair spend

Watching and observing all those passing by, like a spy

Perhaps true, and maybe even part of some conspiracy

A plot device sent out here to destroy the human kind?

Well, what ever the cat’s purpose might just be

It was not clear to those passing as usually

A loud purr could be heard from the very source

As those who dared to pet the sitting cat on the spot

Were soon rewarded with an affectionate nod

So, whatever you might think of this very cat

Choosing their very own place in this space we share

The street, the neighbourhood, the planet fair

Perhaps even an alien invader but, then again

Who could easily resist a soft purr and a fluffy figure?

Next time, when getting all around in the hood
Keep an eye open for that one cat you should

As befriending them might just be the best thing

Even if it was just an ordinary common place being

“You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy a bicycle and that’s pretty close.”

Trike

Buy it, try it, ride it, it’s fun but slow, just the way to go!

Life in a Fishbowl

There’s such a fragile, thin veneer of illusion between the words “together” and “alone”.”
― Bradley Somer, Fishbowl

Life in a Fishbowl

Feeling glamourous
Standing tall
In this tiny fishbowl
I call home

Not so average
These see-through walls
Like a giant peep hole
In the twilight zone

Needing some leverage
I built a space small
Where my tired soul
Had time for its own

Now the damage
Of this famous ball
Is under control
And I, am finally, alone

almost-art

Almost Art

It’s off the chart
A piece of objet d’art
Looks kind of smart
Add it to your cart
If you have a heart
And a complimentary tart
Will give you a jump-start
For no one can tear it apart
Because it’s almost a work of art

Grey

Is it a smoke?
Is it a gun?
Is it a pipe?

It does not poke
It’s not even fun
It’s just a hype

It’s a piece of art

Take a seat in the snow if you dare

“The snow is everywhere! It keeps on coming down, and fills the ground and everything else, is lost inside of the white fluffiness“ Gun Roswell

Take a seat in the snow if you dare

The beachside stroll, not so easy, during the winter time, no matter if the sun is shining, because the snow, has taken over the world!

So, for those, daring to venture to the outside, even the seaside, none too open nor wide, during this seasonal time, the benches beckoning to take a load off after a long walk.

But, what will said traveller there find, if nothing but endless piles… yes you guessed it, snow!

Still, either take seat if you dare or then, find a friendly person with a shovel, remove the snow, and voila! A more comfy seat is revealed from the beneath.

Sitting in the sun, even in minus degrees, can be fun!
