Winter is art?

“There is a lot of spontaneous art happening during the winter time, with the freezing and melting and ice and snow“ Gun Roswell

The warmer temperatures came and went and the freezing process started again, raising havoc on the side walks of all things, people falling down and breaking their legs, arms and hips.

But if there is one great thing about this back and forth of the weather in the winter time, is at least the quick freezing of the nature kind.

As if by surprise, the sprouts were coming alive one moment due to the sun shine, and then, over night, with the plummeting temperatures, they were flash frozen in time to be persevered for at least, until the next time the gods controlling the climate would change their minds and bring on warmer breezes and doing the unfreezing of the gorgeous pieces of art work as provided by nature’s creatures.

But until the warm front hits the lands once again, let’s just go out there and admire the splendours and free art, much of it quite smart, perhaps snap a few photos in the process and write some fancy poetry or whatever words on the paper, for the rest of the world to admire at least in bits and bytes.

Snow’s frozen blanket

“It certainly looks a lot like winter, nothing but snow, snow and then some across the land.” Gun Roswell

The total brightness surrounding
As snowy blankets cover all
I am feeling my heart pounding
Cannot help but feeling so very small
The world seemingly wider
With nothing else, but snow as a divider

Frosted as the Forest is

“It’s snow, but it looks like something straight out of a fairytale or then, something someone just baked?” Gun Roswell

The snow was slowly floating
The trees with a powdery white cloaking
Like a sugar candy coating
As Mother Nature watched gloating

“Look how pretty I made it!
I don’t care one shit,
If the humans don’t see the fit.

It’s pretty and clean,
Most gorgeous thing they ever seen!

So what if it is freezing cold
And the ever rising wind blows!
Better suck it and enjoy,
For this, is my utter ploy!”

And so the little minions of Earth
Went forth in both fear or mirth
After all, how long could it be before the birth
Of summer

Winter, has landed over suburban land

“It’s that time again, winter! Lasting for the next, say six or more months! Not fun!!!” Gun Roswell

Cold, quite white and certainly monochrome
Nature silent under the newly made snowy dome
But, when the sun paints a triple rainbow
(at least sometimes it does)
And that beauty, will bring you to an awe

The winter time has arrived

“For those enjoying winter? Well, guess there is only one thing to say: good luck!” Gun Roswell

Buried deep in the newly fallen snow
When the hard winds had during the night blown
Life now going very slow
As time quicker will not flow
As this is the winter time for us all
Wanna go quicker?
Tough luck but sorry, no!
Then all you can say is:
“Doh!”

Tracks in the early morning sun

“Thy were made by something or someone, perhaps an animal or then, maybe, someone visiting from a far away land, perhaps even not of this Earth?” Gun Roswell

Early morning after a heavy snowfall
The snowy blanket filled with footfalls
The early birds got up for skiing?
And down the snowy road now fleeing?
Or other kinds of unknown beings
Making themselves known?

It’s an uphill battle during winter!

“Peddle that bike! It’s your only ride! Don’t give up, just huff and puff and make it happen!” Gun Roswell

uphill-battle

Ride, ride, ride your bike
Gently up that slippery slope of a hill
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
Life is pretty chill???
(Not it’s not!)

From Sunrise to Sunset in November (looks the same?)

“The sun never rising? The day dark as night? What is this place? Oh, it’s just Finland during winter times!” Gun Roswell

Darkness surrounding the morning suburbia
No worries, no hurries, no hysteria
Stepping out from the warmth of the bed
Tasks of a working day laid ahead
Moving along with the rising sun
Lots to do before the day is done

The red bench for a respite

“Sit down, take a load off, it’s just a colour, even if painted boldly” Gun Roswell

The only bright spot
In the entire parking lot
In the midst of suburbia
Causing a minor hysteria
The colour of reddest red
Some say, it joy may spread

Carefully trying to sit
Just to see, if it is a fit
After I little while
I started to smile
The colour seemed to be
A perfect choice for me

And soon enough…
As far as the eye could see
All the red painted seats
Were occupied to the extreme

There is just something to be said
Of the colour red
It never leaves you cold
Yes, and I too was sold

Graffiti, on the walls of a city!?!

“It’s city style! Whoop whoop, whoop!!! Yeah, so totally calling this, city style!” Gun Roswell

I’m spraying my graffiti
Where ever it fits me
On the walls of suburbia
Bringing a sense of hysteria
There is no mystery
Of who I am
Just read my life’s history
Come and catch me if you can
