Four Wheel Drives I Guess?

“It’s a valid ride, for the day at least right?” Gun Roswell

Four Wheel Drives I Guess?

Four wheel drives
Of a different kind
Manual propulsion
With a little compulsion
Slowly getting nowhere
And then again, everywhere
Usage from ages zero
To the top one hundred
You can be a hero
Or a little weirdo
As long as you keep pedalling
The flow of adrenaline
Will keep you moving
Your condition improving
Hear the crowds cheering
As you are nearing
The finish line

I, Can Drive My Own Car?

“Get it, sit in it, listen to music in it, meditate in it, or simply take it out for a spin!” Gun Roswell

drive my car

I, Can Drive My Own Car?

Setting the scene
Pedal to the metal
Nerves unsettled
Giving it some gas
A little more for the blast
Overheating the machine

The engine is revving
Feels like heaven
Seeing is believing
The stress finally relieving
All the senses perceiving

No time to scoff
No time to fear
The moment is here
The road ahead, clear
Blast off!

Baby I can drive my car
Even though I’m not a star
Still I’m getting very far
Performance getting up to par
And maybe I love you babe

Driving my Little Car

“The cars we drive say a lot about us – in my case, too small a boot and empty space on top” Gun Roswell

Driving my Little Car

They said I couldn’t
You said I shouldn’t
I thought I wouldn’t

But, now
Fading spots I see
In the rear view mirror
As my car and me
Down the road terror
Plough

Finally
Here I am
Where ever this is
Easily
I did drive
So do give me
A high five

Blue Buggy Car

“Driving, in retro style” Gun Roswell

Blue Buggy Car

In the street corner
A blue lonely bug
Just wanted a hug
Or a driver to take
On a road trip near a lake

Painted in blues
In all shades and hues
She matched the skies
But were her expectations too high
For where could she find
That one person so kind
Now all she could do is cry

A little while later
When all hope was almost lost
A tiny girl in pig tails
Turned up and stopped
She asked the tiny car,
Clearly very scared

“Why so sad
The sun is shining clouds are blue
Just like you
Shouldn’t you be glad?”

The bug answered:
“I am old
It makes me cold
Not fashionable
Nor lovable
Cannot find one soul
Who would drive me
To the lake or sea”

The little girl felt bad
Then had an idea and laughed:
“Have no fear
I’ll drive you my dear
Alone no more
Neither sore”

She then hopped into the bug
Luckily she was small because the bug was quite snug
Driving together to the sunset
Never each other going to let

Left hanging all by myself!

“Look! I’m on top of the world Ma!?” Gun Roswell

Left hanging all by myself!

I was put here on total display Much to my own undesire and dismay
Nobody bothered to ask me if I wanted to stay

So here I just hang until the end of the day

I am not discarded nor broken Nor am I anyone’s special token
But I surely used to be for spoken

Dunno no, if that applies anymore, just hoping

So some one please come and get me
You can ride me even to the sea
My pedals and saddle are still complete
So hope on and let me drive you easily

A Lada Car? For me?

“What does it matter if it’s an older model, it still works does it not? “ Gun Roswell

A Lada Car? For me?

When the need for any type of vessel
To transport you anywhere (well somewhere at least) across town
It does not matter whether it has the latest gadgets
Or even runs with gasoline, methane or beer (going green is always good)
But once you fall in love with a tiny blue thing (yes, thing is the best description for it)
It will certainly make your heart to sing (and make your wallet cry)
A blast from the very, very past
Some might say, and then gasp (they do that a lot don’t they)
But no matter what the others might think
Just let yourself into the comfy seat sink
Then push the petal (not entirely to the metal as it may break)
And glide down the road (or jump depending on how reliable your driving abilities are)
Now riding in a car built by an already forgotten super power
Does not make to feel like you have such great power
But this is a leisure drive after all (yeah, you really need it today)
So, just enjoy the time and make it a ball
Ride the blue painted bucked of metal to the sunset (well maybe to the beach within the hour)
And return the ride before you have to pay extra for the fun set

Island life under the shade

“Sometimes, one simply needs a break from it all.” Gun Roswell

Island life under the shade

A small Island, perhaps Greece?
A small piece
Of our very own history
Beyond the centuries
The oldest of towns
Considered the jewel of the crown
Alas the soft sunny beach
At your very reach
Ixia, Kamiros or Lindos
A small drive with the bus
Everything you’ll ever need
On the small island of eternal peace

Mini in blue with a flag on top, a Union Jack but of course!

“Ride a mini cooper, the tiny four wheel vehicle and you never go back to a Volkswagen, or, what ever kind of car” Gun Roswell

Mini in blue with a flag on top, a Union Jack but of course!

A Union Jack flag, painted, on the very top of her head
Two white ‘go’ stripes, adorning, the hood ahead
Her headlights, big, bright and very shiny things, and yes, oh so metallic
As I continue listing all these qualities, I am getting so, so ecstatic
Darkest of blue, is the shiny coat she wears
Why don’t you, just take a peek inside, if you dare
(I know you want to, go ahead, it’s alright, she won’t bite, well, maybe, just a nibble!)
Lot’s of room, in this small, little gal is packed
Four seats, even ample storage, and a motor, in the back
She truly is, a complete package, of beauty and smart
This tiny, and little, old school mini cooper, is a totally and utterly, lovable car

Up, up, up and then down with the Escalator

“Take a short ride, up and down the slide, also known, as an escalator” Gun Roswell

Up, up, up and then down with the Escalator

What is your choice, when you want to go up?
When the walking makes internal noises, and you end up with a huge huff?
Even when the legs won’t carry you all the way down
What can you do, but really put on a frown?

Is there a simple answer to this constantly nagging everyday dilemma?
OK, so this problem might not be high up there, as it ain’t so stellar
But what if you had a set of stairs
Where you could easily “walk” up and down, and even in pairs?

The answer may be quite easy and simple to implement
For, all you need to do is make a call post haste
To the local technically inclined stairway maker

Row Boat Ahoy!

“Row row row a boat, gently down the moat” Gun Roswell

Row Boat Ahoy!

A boat from the times simple
May some good old memories kindle
On a day filled with sunlight
When nothing and none is uptight

Take a ride on the lake
With this ye old boat, no fake
Row a while, then maybe smile
On this day of summers so fine

It may be old a rickety
But try to use it skilfully
And to the wide side of the water’s deep
Then back again, it will have brought thee
