Sunshine on a rainy day?

“Sometimes, the sun shines, no matter the time of year it just might be.” Gun Roswell

If you expected sunshine,
Sitting on a terrace
With a cool glass of wine
And feeling, just fine

Then,
I hate to disappoint
Dearie,
But it seems,
The odds
Are heavily
Against you

The weather gods
Decided their jobs
Was to make you sob

Like the true sociopaths
Bringing on their wrath
Even if you did not need a bath

But soaking wet
Soon you’ll be
If you think
The game is set
Maybe
It is time to flee

Or then

Just forget,
The bummer
After all
It is not even summer
And just
Another day
In Paradise?

Monochrome

“It’s the good ole times, all in black and white or more like, monochrome greys?” Gun Roswell

Looking at the world through monochromatic eyes
Eyes wide without any shade or disguise
Disguise, which is so easy to cover
Cover up all the faults
Faults only visible in true colours
Colours so easily distorted Distorted like the inevitable truth
Truth which cannot be hidden Hidden in the shades and shadows
Shadows only seen in the darkness
Darkness hiding in the black Black and white turning to grey
Grey, which is the true colour Colour without any kind of colour
Colour only described as monochrome

Bright light in the skies

“Sometimes the sun shines into the womp rats nest” Star Wars

Walk towards the light
The brightest white light
This is your rite
And you holiday given right
Finally enjoy some sunshine!

The Blues?

“Sometimes, even the shadow of oneself is blue.” Gun Roswell

Maybe I am blue
Because of winter
Quite the opposite
Of pure white

The sky, is orange!

“Nothing to do with any kind of world leader for sure!” Gun Roswell

What rhymes with orange?
A sunset, of a different kind
Only this short homage
Was for it today assigned

Winter through the looking glass?

“It’s snowing, again, oh well, it’s winter!” Gun Roswell

Oh winter, oh winter
Don’t think I am bitter
But to be honest
I wish you to be gone-st
I really loved you at first
Now I am dying of thirst
Of a summer that is
So hear me please
And be gone!

Winter’s Window

“Something about the snow perhaps, makes it different?” Gun Roswell

Outside it’s cool and crispy
The clouds are hanging low
It’s just another day in January
With quite a lot of snow
Sitting in my home office
The images quite flawless
Admiring the window views
In my hand my favourite brew

Frosted

“No, they’re not cereal!” Gun Roswell

They be pretty
Those frozen bits on the window sill
Ice, someone calls it
But, I say art,
So, just enjoy it!

Snow

“Snow, of course there is snow, it’s winter!” Gun Roswell

A fresh coat of snow
With a wintry glow
Life getting more slow
Just follow the flow
Even if you really
Don’t like snow

Through the looking glass?

“It’s an outside out there, but inside in here, all good?” Gun Roswell

Look carefully
Behind the door
If you dare
You may get a scare!
