“When in Finland, sit like the Finns do”
Take a Seat in Suomenlinna for Seat Sunday
Cafe in a pink house
Somewhere, thereabouts
Sit down, have a coffee
With a bun, laced with toffee

“In nine lifetimes, you’ll never know as much about your cat as your cat knows about you” Michel de Montaigne
For Caturday
I still remember
That day in September
When a furry bundle of joy
Appeared at my door
And with a loud roar
Shouted: Ahoy!
Over thirty years ago
With four more in tow
With fullest of force
Changing the course
Of my entire life
Without much strife

Narrow Surface
Tiptoeing
On this narrow stick
Easy going
Because, it really
Is not so thick!

Gate
“Open the gate!
Open the gate!”
The crowd went wild
Like a petulant child
The boat was arriving
No time for driving
“Got to get on board!
Because I left my Ford
On the docks
And it’s locked!”
And finally
To borrow a quote,
On a slow boat
To meet my privacy

Light at the end of the Tunnel
Every tunnel
Has its light
At the end
Of the funnel

Luxury Flat
Stuck between
A rock
And a hard place
– That’s
The flat
She stays in

Peep Hole
When you look inside
Try not to get stuck
Because you never know
What you may find!

Travel in Rhodes for Throwback Thursday (First Part)
On Thursdays, we walk down memory lane and dig deeply into the archives of Rantings Of A Third Kind. For these posts, I have chosen some of my personal favourites. Some of them may tickle the funny bone, some even provoke thoughts and some of them will give you a view of the world in photographs taken by yours truly.
Today’s posts have been dedicated to my original Travel Log from a year ago, while visiting the beautiful island of Rhodes in Greece. Enjoy!
