Photo challenge for PhoTrabloggers Mundane Monday

“This is a challenge created to find beauty in almost everything. The challenge is simple : find beauty in everyday mundane things, capture the beauty and upload the photographs.”

MUNDANE MONDAY CHALLENGE #45

flowers 1

“Mondays are mundane, like Tuesdays minus 24 hours.
”

Flowers

Bright and shiny
With colours so lively
Lighting up the mood daily
That’s why I am
Smiling so shyly

Elevator Views

Higher and higher
Up the high riser
Like a race car driver
In this scenic elevator

Speed is getting faster
Closer up the rafter
Feeling the adventure
And the ultimate pleasure

Blue Skies chorus by Irving Berlin

“Mondays are mundane, like Tuesdays minus 24 hours.
”

Blue Skies

The sun in the sky
Shining so bright
Feeling so high
What a delight

Peace on my mind
Starting to unwind
Future defined
Ever so fine

“Blue days
All of them gone
Nothing but blue skies
From now on”

“Who am I that I have to sing under an umbrella? These people are my fans, and if they can stand in the rain to hear me sing, I can stand in the rain” Bobby Darin

Umbrella (Daily Photo 2016-02-08)

Step under my umbrella
We can sing in a cappella
Like we were the Ella
Just out of hella
Lady or a fella

Let’s create a novella
You can play the Stella
Prance around like a gazella
Maybe invite the Cinderella
Even if she is vanilla

There is no dilemma
Here what I tell ‘Ya
It’s quite the Rockwell’a
So step under my umbrella
Just out of the hella

Time (SL WEEK 31)

Photo Challenge by SYLVAIN LANDRY
A response to Sylvain’s challenge theme of Time

time-1

“Better three hours too soon than a minute too late” William Shakespeare

Time (SL WEEK 31)

Oh, how time flies
In front of
My very eyes
When sitting still
On the wing
Of an aeroplane

“Some people are worth melting for”

Snow Cats (Daily Photo 2016-02-07)

“Speak no evil
See no evil
Hear no evil”

Made
Out of snow
Maybe
Just for show
The three snow cats
Are having
A silent chat

As the time flies
The three little spies
Are watching passers-by
Wondering why
They all are
In such a hurry

“When in Vienna, sit on a comfy sofa”

On a Sofa in Vienna (Seat Sunday 2016-02-07)

When weary from your travels
And the day slowly starts to unravel
Better answer to the beckoning
When to its seat it is welcoming
At this hour it surely is permitted
A true respit for the wicked

Feeling beat
Take a seat
It has your number
Fall into a slumber
In the bosom
Of the softest of cushions

And have a good night’s sleep

“A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving” Lao Tzu

On the Left Wing Side, Part Two

In this metal cocoon
Only us human buffoons
Can enjoy our winged journey
Even if scared
Then tied to a gurney
The flight attendant leered

Above the clouds
Nightfall with darkness
Spread like a shroud
Late at night
In mid flight
Safe and sound
Into a tiny seat bound…

In honour of Caturday and all cats everywhere

A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere” Groucho Marx

Ode to Freakish Felines

Freakishly feline
Or a soft purring ball
How easy to unwind
Soon to a sleep fall
Hypnotized
By those wide eyes
The limber steps
Command respect
You can never own them
Just borrow for a while
But rest assured, the little gems
Will leave you in big smiles
