Caturday: Rulers of the World

They run your world
Despite whatever you heard
Twisting you around their tall tails
Urging you to run on nails
You will jump when they hail
“Yes Ma’am” you hear yourself say
When they approach you with a sway
And tell you it is time to play

Cats, are the rulers of the world
Sometimes you may hear yourself say “shit”
But you have to admit
You are loving every minute of it

Fabulous Friday or Ode to my Shiny Golden Shoes (2015-12-18)

“We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be?” Marianne Williamson

Fabulous Friday or Ode to my Shiny Shoes

My shiny golden shoes
No time for the blues
Singing and dancing
In my shoes of fancy

My lovely golden shoes
Act as some kind of muse
They might be flashy
But I feel quite dashy

I may not be Howard Hughes
And I don’t need any booze
With minimal financing
I am out celebrating

Thank Goodness
For Fabulous Fridays!

Lift

Going up, going down
Never stops on its own
A pater noster
Of a modern kind
A machine more efficient
Is very hard to find

High up in the skies
Through the clouds it flies
The sheer size
Leaves you mesmerized
Well oiled machinery
Pulling together amazingly

Share each Friday, on your own blog, one photo…or maybe even a gallery of some of your favorite photos that you have taken during the week, that make you smile or that was a great photo capturing opportunity…anything really! And as photographers are often known to say, “The best camera is, the one that you have with you!”

Favourite Photo Friday, 2015-12-18 /#21

For this week’s favourite photograph, I chose the one I posted for the Blogging U Poem a Day challenge, aptly titled “Camouflage”. The poem written for the same, can be found behind the related post link.

Enjoy!

White

White or off-white
The white knight
Of the floral world
Traditionally pearled
Fully in bloom
Filling the room
With light
Ever so bright

Throwback Thursday 2015-12-17

Today is time for a walk down memory lane again and dig into the archives of Rantings Of A Third Kind since the beginning of time. Well at least from the beginning of this blog 😛

“The elevator to success is out of order. You’ll have to use the stairs… one step at a time.” Joe Girard

I am Out of Order for Today

Call it
A writer’s block
Or a total lock
My mind just
Put up the sign

“Empty room
For hire”

I will not pine
Somewhere
The fire
Can be found
Lifting me
Off the ground

To unblock
I will catch
The hook
To unlock
My writer’s mind

out of order

It’s About As Funny As A Root Canal

You know
That feeling
Lying
In the chair
Thinking
Life
Is not fair

Staring
At the ceiling
Anticipating
Sweat
Covering
Your skin
Waiting for
The drilling
To begin
The sound
Resonating
In your skull

Totally bound
With feelings
Of dull
Contemplating
An escape
Looking
At the window
Wishing
For a cape
Like a superhero
Flying away

No time
The Dentist
Hovering
Covering
Your eyes
With sunglasses
Working
In a quick pace
Before I
Can plot my
Break

My mind
Wandering to
Molasses?
Am I
Loosing it?
Completely
Sugar
Would be
The last thing
I needed

Mouth
Agape
Drooling
Like an ape
Fooling
Not a chance
In a deep
Trance
Or a drug endused
State

After all
Is done
Wishing
I had
A gun
Somehow
Cooling down
Getting up
Staggering
Reeling
A sick
Feeling

A glance
In the mirror
Spittle
And blood
On my face
Must be
An error
Covering
My head
With a hood

Leaving quickly
No looking
Back
Oh what
A quack
Never mind
It’s all over
Until
Next time

When
You hear
It’s as funny
As A root canal
Time to fear
And run
As fast
As you
Can
