“Monday is great if I can spend it in bed. I’m a man of simple pleasures, really” Arthur Darvill

Monday, 16th of November

Today, Monday

I woke up
Showered
Drove to work
The sun rose
Snapped a few snaps

Worked some
Had a lunch break
Snapped a few snaps

Worked some more
Had a coffee break
Snapped a few snaps

Working day ended
Drove home
Posted some blogs
Went to sleep
Dreaming of tomorrow

It will be Tuesday…

“A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere” Groucho Marx

Caturday, 2015-10-24

When the black cat
Was crossing the street
She was chasing a rat
Trying to act discreet
Hiding behind a big hat
Awaiting her treat

The grounded bat
Knew he tasted sweet
Stood still on the mat
There was no time to greet
Only time, for combat

After a long while
Both standing still
Trying to act hostile
But without thrill
So instead of the usual
They decided in mutual

This tale’s end
Will the norm bend
Cat and mouse decided
To shake their paws delighted
The lesson of this tale?
Sometimes it’s good to fail

“Organizing is what you do before you do something, so that when you do it, it is not all mixed up” A. A. Milne

A Quote a Week Tuesday #1

First quote of the series, is a rather funny one. For one thing, it is often true. But then again, like most quotes, it can inspire to think and as an extension, write 😉

“A quotation is a handy thing to have about, saving one the trouble of thinking for oneself, always a laborious business” A.A. Milne, If I May

A Quote a Week Tuesday: New Tuesday Series

As inspired by the 3 day quote challenge, I am launching a new serial, “A Quote a Week Tuesday”.

Since I am so fond of quotes and use them in all my posts, I decided this could be a fun challenge for Tuesdays.

Any quote, own or borrowed will be posted each Tuesday accompanied by photos of the same theme.

If you want, you can ping back your own post to this site. This, however, is not a round robin type thing, rather just something on the side 😉

Let the quotations continue!

The Daily Post Photo challenge: Ornate

Forget about subdued and restrained. This week, let’s embrace the breathtakingly extravagant.

“A lot of designs are grounded in history even though they tend to be clean and not overly ornate. The sculptural form is often historic. If you come to our exhibit, a lot of things will look familiar” Ellen Lupton

Ornate, The Natural History Museum of London

A building
Filled with beauty and history
A home to many a -logy
Botany, entomology, mineralogy
Paleontology and zoology

You may bump into a dinosaur
But don’t worry, it will not roar
Explore the various galleries
Where many of Earth’s memories
Are housed

Public engagement and education
Plenty of research and curation
The Darwin centre with specimen
The Attenborough Studio for conservation
Plenty to choose from

Cats, cats, cats
I see a lots of cats
Cats over there
And cats over here
Even more cats
They are everywhere

Oh, look at the pretty cat
In the window there
What window, where?
Over there, over here
Even more cats
They are everywhere

I am a writer and therefore automatically a suspicious character

I have adopted a quote from a great director and certainly a personality in his own right, Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock.

Using the quote on my blog main page, I consider it to be the utmost homage to Hitchcock. And as life would have it, the quote fits my own personality like a glove 😉
