Game’s aFoot

“Before the game is afoot, thou still let’st slip”
William Shakespeare

Game’s aFoot

There is no shame
In playing the game
Trying to court fame

But just remember
Before you go on this bender
You loose some, or you may lose more

Calm Before the Storm

Posted in Daily Photo

“It’s always most calm,
Before the storm”
Gun Roswell

Calm Before the Storm

Before it gets colder, there is always warm
Before it starts raining, the grey clouds will form
Before it gets safer, there is always harm
Before you get to argue, remember, this is the norm

Because,
Where ever there is calm
You will soon find, a storm

Solo

“One, Single, Solo”
Gun Roswell

Solo

Flying solo,

Because, of YOLO
Because, someone told you so
Because, you reap what you sow

Is it fun though?

Going, when the wind blows
Going, with the flow
Going, where no one knows

Maybe,

Flying with someone
Could be double the fun
Hitting a that home run…

…Together

Who am I?

Posted in Simply Poetry

“The road to hell is paved with works-in-progress.”
—Philip Roth

Who am I?

They call me odd
They call me weird
I say: “off you sod”
I still won’t stop!

Writing, writing, writing
Hard at least trying
Fighting, fighting, fighting
My daily life be damned!

I may be odd
I may be weird
Maybe some day
I will get my pay

For dreaming the impossible
Is it really that unusual?
There may be some obstacles
But in the end, there may be applause

And then
I can call myself

Cathedral for Every Day

Posted in Mundane Monday

“I wish someone would ask me to design a cathedral”
Philip Johnson

Cathedral for Every Day

If you want to pray
Where ever you may
Or just a while to stay
In a sunny ray
Looking for a cabaree
Or an afternoon matinee

Just enter into
The Cathedral of Every Day

You don’t have to pay
Or even a dragon slay
There is no doorway
Nor any kind of role play
There is no colour grey
Only a colourful array

When you enter
The Cathedral of Every Day

Feeling Blue

Posted in Daily Photo

“Blue is not just a colour,
It is also, a life style”
Gun Roswell

Feeling Blue

Blue, is the sky above
Blue, are the waters below
Blue, when I’m feeling alone

Blue, can be a cold hue
Blue, is a beautiful view
Blue, is the colour of my shoes

Blue, fits me like a glove
Blue, I cannot get rid of
Blue, is the colour I love

After Sunset

Posted in Daily Photo

“How strange this fear of death is!
We are never frightened at a sunset”
George MacDonald

After Sunset

After, the sun has set
It is time, to place the bets
Throw in the dice
Good luck, never hits twice

Who ever, has the luck
Will not, by lighting get struck
Where ever, they may go
Good weather and fortune will follow

Well, the promise of fair weather
Some time spent for leisure
Maybe a promotion or two
If not, good luck
Trying the dice, to sue!

Overdose

Posted in Daily Photo/Tales of Tiny

“There are some days when I think
I’m going to die from an overdose of satisfaction”
Salvador Dali

Overdose

It was just a simple overdose
A mass of a size of bordering gross
They should have just given hit me with a hose
Burning up was oh so very close…

The final diagnose:
Too much sun on a scorching day
Will not keep the nurses or doctors away

Crowded

Posted in Daily Photo/Tales of Tiny

“I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself,
than be crowded on a velvet cushion”
Henry David Thoreau

Crowded

Two is a company
Three is huge a crowd
Four is just lucky
Five or more is very loud

Feeling crowded
Sometimes compounded
Oh for crying out loud
This really is a crowd!

Paradise Found

“If you go anywhere,
even paradise,
you will miss your home”
Malala Yousafzai

Paradise Found

It was just covered with frost
In the end of a very long autumn
This was what it cost
To get back from the bottom

Paradise,
It was never lost
It was, just forgotten
