Red in the harbour during sunset

“Sailing away, to far away lands… or at least now, that the sun is setting, getting, home is enough for the weary traveller, right?” Gun Roswell

The setting sun, is the time indicator, time has past flown, and so now, setting the helm towards home, is the best option, perhaps the only option to follow.

As adventure, can always wait, for tomorrow will be another day, for sure, and the lure, of the far away lands always present, never letting the traveller at peace.

So, either a restless night, without sleep, depending of course, how deep, the thoughts of the ventures ahead are, the smart ones, will figure a way, to set sail, even when with little if no sleep.

But before you get in there too deep, remember, to eat, and have plenty of coffee, as the adventure will take time long, at least, until the next sunset is upon.

The utter concentration

“The dusk setting in, final rays of the sun, painting colours over the water and land, but the pix snappers work is never done, as this is where the fun only just begins” Gun Roswell

That perfect moment, only there for a second, concentration of the essence as the need to capture the very scene, is vital, mental even for the snapper of every which event happening all around and everywhere

Hysterics is the best way to describe the mood, of the snapper, having clicked, way too soon, but sometimes, they might just succeed and the perfect capture is presented right there, on the screen

But, these days, even with all the fancy technology, devices plentiful and always at hand, pun intended, the moments go past so fast, the hand eye coordination cannot fathom what happened and so, the blurry snaps, filling the storage fast

Still, if even one of the millions, is as good, a stamp of approval there should be put, then a happy face on the snapper will replace, the permascwol usually present

Then again, what is considered a good or great snap, is debatable, just check out the facts out there on the world wide internets.

The Path So Far

“Just remember, if we do indeed get caught, you’re deaf and blind, and I, really can’t speak one single word of English!”

It was the olden times, the year nineteen eighty-five
When I did and hitched a ride
And so, ever since that time
The two of us, have been together tightly tied

Just like, well sugar and spice
Perhaps even Abbott and Costello, those guys
And whatever else have you
It’s always the us, the two

I am still rather amazed
And feeling totally graced
That someone would stare at my odd face
For forty odd years on straight!

So thanks for all this time, my sweetest of hearts
Let’s just try to make it to the very next part
And add another forty or more to the cart
After all, it’s really not that far!

As all said and done the most important thing
Which makes one really want to sing
Being that one good one to have, that one person
Who will support you without any given reason

As is
No matter how serious
Or delirious
Life can get
I will bet
You will still be the one
Who I can most rely on
To go absolutely
And completely
Bonkers with
And ain’t that
The perfect hit!

Happy 40 years anniversary my sweet!

Hanging up here!

“Look! I’m on top of the world Ma!?” Gun Roswell

I was put here on total display Much to my own undesire and dismay
Nobody bothered to ask me if I wanted to stay

So here I just hang until the end of the day

I am not discarded nor broken Nor am I anyone’s special token
But I surely used to be for spoken

Dunno no, if that applies anymore, just hoping

So some one please come and get me
You can ride me even to the sea
My pedals and saddle are still complete
So hope on and let me drive you easily

Sunsets in one, two, three!

“Sunset is mother nature’s movie of the night, but much prettier and oh so very bright!” Gun Roswell

Summer memories from a distant land
Holding, treasuring, in my hand
Remembering all the times spent
By the seashore, looking for something heavens sent

Keeping a close eye
Trying something to spy
A spectacle of enormous proportions
Which this darkening night brightens
The sunset most magnificent
Viewed by present day onlookers just like the ancients
Nature art spread across the night skies
There within, the truth of life lies

Cottage in one, two, three!

“Summer fun in so many cottages, it’s getting to a point of annoying really! ” Gun Roswell

Red, yellow, any other colour, or maybe even painted black
The choices for living, really do not lack
Going around and around, never once looking back
As one, after the other, is so much better, than the last
But, for only one week at the time
Spending, my vacation, nearly, on a dime
Even the weather, is ever so fine

And I surely have no complaints, of all these cottages, oh so divine
Juggling amongst these places, some near, some far
Luckily my rucksack is not weighing, so need for a car
Summer still well spent, even if it wasn’t exactly like I had dreamt
But the experience given me so much more
I can go back to the daily grind without immediately being bored
After all, adventure is part of human nature, with or without fear
And this year, I certainly got plenty for the rest of the year

Esplanade – Helsinki

“Take a walk around the city, it’s not that big so it will be easy.” Gun Roswell

Down the esplanade
We like to parade
With a gentle sway
For a while in the cafes stay
Until summer will fade
And to indoors we will trade

Green with Flora

“Green and yellow, in the meadow, those signs of summer for all to see.” Gun Roswell

The floral scene
Filled with green
Like summer beans
Filling this screen

Colour in the Shadows

“One needs a hint of colour in ones life.” Gun Roswell

There it lurks
In the deep dark shadows
Soon bursting out, in fireworks
In one big colourful pose

Ripples on the Water

“Something so mysterious about those ripples forming there, like mini wormholes they be.” Gun Roswell

Soon, September comes with sniffles
Thought of that gives me wrinkles
Looking at the water’s surface filled with ripples
As it smiles with all its dimples
Life in August, smooth and simple
And today, is Friday, so just whistle
