That slow blue moment

“It’s going to be night again, as the blues descends over the land” Gun Roswell

right before the darkness descends

in a magical time nature spends

it always seems such a surprise

when the blue moment arrives

the ambience setting the hue

in the coolest colour of blue

not quite dark

not quite light

the land and sky merging

into the blue surging

time coming to a stall

calming one and all

but only for a moment

before the night descends

That special summer’s feeling

“Yep, it’s summer!” Gun Roswell

Early morning

Sun barely yawning

It’s light outside

Despite the early hours time

The cooling breeze

But not enough to make you freeze

The air misty

The clouds soft and twisted

Moon going to sleep

The ocean dark and deep

A solitary bird shrieking

Possibly a worm seeking

Few people on their way to work

Me on me leisure time, lips on a smirk

Finally shedding the heavy winter coat

Feeling light, relaxed, without a load

Hotter than hell?

“Soon it will be winter again?” Gun Roswell

The summer finally came after a long wait

A dark and cold winter taunted us long after its expiration date

Minus degrees, snow, ice and sleet

Wondering what we did to deserve this shit

So, finally, blue skies, high as the eagle flies, warmth and happiness, without the snappiness

Or so you would think, because it finally sank in, there is a spin:

It’s hotter than hell, like some daemons spell

The pavement is melting, the walls are welting , I am yelling

Enough, now on with the rain, this warm, it’s making my brain pain

A cool breeze there is not, only hot hot hot

Dry is the grass, dry is the river, dry is my mouth, and I ain’t even a singer

So give the zinger and pour some water, on to this poor land under and its daughter

They say I should not complain, just glad remain

For soon the summer is over and shovelling snow over the shoulder

Is the most dumb task you can do, yelling summer could not be here too soon

But I a built for a climate cold, and this warming up I really getting too old

Garden

“It is harvest time, in the garden, and not just for us humans” Gun Roswell

Behind, the lush grown, hidden small size gates
A tiny, really old dwelling, the on looker baits
And, for the odd traveller, just passing by
To simply dare, to step, inside
For there is nothing more alluring, than the unknown and divine

The cottage, once, in screaming bright red painted
But now, mostly, the exterior’s inviting flash, is all faded
It is as quaint as the trimmings of the windows
But still standing strong, even after all the wind blows
And into the past, the history, it invites to explore

Guarded, by the tiniest of inanimate gnomes
Sitting there, in a solemn quiet and an orderly row
They seem smiling and totally life like
And, if you dare to misstep, then you will feel their spite
For they are the guardians of the cottage’s life

The trees, now filled with apples, oranges and berries
After all, it is that time, most of us cherish
The Autumn falling slowly, onto the waiting land
With all the colours so bright, you can hardly stand
Foliage, they dwellers say, and then, offer you a hand

It is now, near harvest time, for both the bees, birds and human kind
Every single living thing gathering their reward, knowing, they have scored
When their stomachs are filled with delicious nectar and food
From apples, oranges, berries, and all, who can really and honestly choose!
So step into the world of wonder, you really have nothing to lose!

Purple

“A flower a day, keeps the bad mood away, at least for a while I think” Gun Roswell

Nature at its very best during the times of warmth when the rest of us just want to rest, lay about and do absolutely nothing. But these pretty things of colours in various purples, keep sprouting up from the ground even if there has been no rain for a while. But it doesn’t really matter how these pretty ones came to be alive as simply looking at them for a while, makes one in a better mood and giving at least, a slight smile and that in itself is simply fine.

So, let those flowers keep on popping up, wherever they want. As this time of the year might be the only one the pretty ones appear. As soon as the weather changes to something cold and unpredictable, the flowers in the fields will start to fall. For now at least, enjoy, listen and view, to the magnificence of the purples and sometimes blues as soon enough, you will wake up, to sub zero temperatures and then only in memories, or photographs if possible, those joys of the summer days of warmth, the flowers in such colourful purples.

Green, that’s the word

“Green and yellow, in the meadow, those signs of summer for all to see.” Gun Roswell

The floral scene
Filled with green
Like summer beans
Filling this screen

From monochrome to red

“The darkness follows the light, well, most of times, except up here in the North, during summer. Now winter, well, that is a whole different story!” Gun Roswell

Days thankfully long and filled with so much sunshine
That lazy me, can be splayed across the subbed ever so fine
The clouds above practically none existent and quite fluffy too
As there is nothing else to see above there except skies of blue
Well, maybe just another airplane landing bringing more of us
Whom are finally allowed to take a vacation on this same spot
Where the days meet the night, without any kind of fight
Where nothing is done except leisure just for the sake of pleasure
The long days, and short nights, spent, lazily under the sun
Or those with courage, hauling their asses to the beach
Where all kinds of waterspouts is just in a short reach
Describing this time out of the every day grind as everything fun
Hell yeah, day or night, it just is so unexpected but totally right
When there is little or nothing else to do around the poolside
Except spend it on yourself and those you care for in life

Red for summer

“They’re red, they’re delicious, just grab one and taste it!” Gun Roswell

In summertime,
In July
Something easy,
For both tummy
And the eye

Delicious
Nutricious
Precious

Sun kissed
Wouldn’t miss

Eat them
While you can
Soon, the season is over
And it will be October
When you’ll be eating
Canned spam!

Water Splashing

“The sounds of splashing water, reminds me, of summer, days spent by the seaside, watching the waves coming to shore“ Gun Roswell

Water around splashed, as the blurry projectile, into the cooling waves dashed
It wasn’t officially, the season for any kind of water games, but it was all the same
For the adventurous crusader of the elements, taking the plunge without hesitance
The others would just have to wait, the fire, the wind, even digging in the dirt
As the inviting liquid, no matter what state it was in, cold, hot, stormy or even
Tornado level tsunamis leaving, the ever venturing object of a body heaving
In anticipation of the varied feelings, when playing among those alluring components
Made by free, well, almost, by nature itself, a long time ago, so, even if exited
Just try to take it slow and enjoy, all the waves possibly caused, while diving in
There is no loose or even a win, just a moment of fun, while riding ever so high
On the tall waves of the splashing waters, frolicking around with the sea otters
And after all that needed to be done, for the fun, the adventurer will return, home
