Working Seats (two)

Working Seats

Welcome to the thrift shop
We got knick-knacks of all sorts
Selling, selling, sold
The saleslady ever so bold
But sometimes
The time flies
Sooner or later, off her feet she falls
Then, the little chair her calls

“Admit your defeat,
Get off your feet,
And just take, a seat,
It’s no big leap
To sit down
And maybe, just tweet”

Window Seat

A seat fit
For a writer
Under the light
None too brighter
Schedule quite the tighter
But this one is a fighter

Write, write, write
Create on each strike
Push the pencil with all your might

Window Seat

When all the working day is done
And before the beginning of fun
Bring your cup of coffee
And sit down in this cozy lobby

Seat in Town

After a relaxing time
You hear the town bell chime
Before it’s bedtime
You need to spend a dime
So sue me, this had to rhyme!

When on the town
Getting all around
There is one thing
You wish you had found
A seat, to relax on!

When finally found
Face in an upside frown
Jumping up and down
Giving a spin in the gown

Seat in the Shade for Seat Sunday

Seat in the Shade

The scorching sun
Leaves you burning
Like an overcooked bun
Hoping the sun to fade
Trying to find shade
From this seat
In the shade

Seat in the Sun

Didn’t get,
Too much done?
Competed,
But someone else won?
Feeling,
Like your phaser,
Is set on stun?

Retro Sofa for Seat Sunday

Posted in Seat Sunday: Photography and Poetry

Retro Sofa

Quite classical
In its time,
Even radical
Some say,
Too theatrical
Others called it,
Magical

The sofa from the past
Was made to last
Now, in rebroadcast
It’s selling,
Really, really fast!
