Ode to My Mac(intosh)

You let out a hum
As I turn you on
I am Flushing
As I am pushing
Your on switch

You light up
Without amok
It’s electric
Almost magnetic
I feel the itch
I am ecstatic

Cannot wait
As you bait
To touch all
Your buttons

Like a glutton
I will call
For you to deliver
As I wait and shiver
Reaching every height
Through your interface
The globe
To integrate

Guess it was love

“I am both happy and sad at the same time,
and I’m still trying to figure out how that could be.”
― Stephen Chbosky

From Sad to Glad

Sad

Another working day
Is started to play
Even though,
Last night I prayed
That instead of a Monday
It would be Saturday
And home I could stay
All day, in my bed lay

From Sad to Glad

Glad

Sometimes
Life smiles
And the frown
Turns upside down…

Ok, so, this is some mandarins, an apple and a banana
Didn’t really think I could have fooled ‘ya!
So just go ahead and smile!

“If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe”

“Come on,
Do not be afraid
Take a bite,
You may find
You do like
This more
Than the other kind”

Old Man Jobs told the scared little nerd
as he handed over the apple, with a byte bitten off.
How quite unheard!

“Oh, never mind
The missing piece”

Jobs continued

“An encounter
With an unrefined
Caused the apple
To shatter…”

He started to laugh, evilly

“But, you should have seen
How the soft micros cleaned
As soon as they bit
My apple!”

Twin Screens (WP Writing: Intro to Poetry)

Day Six: Screen

You’re reading these words on a screen. Screens — comforting, addictive, inescapable — are everywhere, especially when we read and write (and blog). Today, write a poem about, against, or in homage to the screens in your life. Or write about some other kind of screen — for example, the one stretched across your window, or the piece of cloth on which movies are projected at the theater.

“We made the buttons on the screen look so good you’ll want to lick them” Steve Jobs

Twin Screens

My confession
My obsession
My precious
My life essence

Sitting on the table
I really cannot lable
This is no fable
Or maybe
I am just, unstable

My two Macs
Nothing do they lack
No time do I track
Even by their side
Do I snack

Breaking away
Keeping them at bay
There’ll come a day,
But for now
I choose to stay

They give me all
With them,
Life’s a ball
Some might say
I stall

World wide
Do I glide
Virtually mind!
Maybe I just hide
Maybe I am tied

My Macs
The two of them
Now packed
Time to hit the road
Jack

Dear Reader
This was a tale of humour
Somewhat of a rumour
A tale told by the weaver

Maybe, I actually did more
And myself away tore
Just before
I got too hooked
And started reading a book
Instead
