“It is not the honor that you take with you,
but the heritage you leave behind”
Branch Rickey

Heritage

The sea captain, now long gone
Left behind him, something strong,
Long and heavy
Big enough for everyone’s envy
A true blast from ages passed
An object of art, an object for use
An anchor strong and made to last

“It is not the honor that you take with you,
but the heritage you leave behind”
Branch Rickey

Heritage

Just another brick on the wall?
This window may be small
But those who did it install
Made sure, no one out of it would fall

Something lasting from the ages here shown
The makers worked their fingers to the bone
To build as heritage a wall of stone
Now us youngsters, proudly do it own

“It is not the honor that you take with you,
but the heritage you leave behind”
Branch Rickey

Heritage

When the waring was finished
His belongings quite diminished
All that was left for inheritance
Was a pile of armor, none too relevant

“Do not cross the brook for water”
Finnish proverb

The Round House

Round and round we go
Merrily, merrily, following the flow
Around the round house
Me, you and even the mouse
There is no end
There is no beginning
Just a round circle
For us to encircle
Wasting our time
And that is just fine
It just cost one dime!

“Do not cross the brook for water”
Finnish proverb

The Round House

In the deepest of winter
Reflected palm trees from the printer
Or maybe on the frozen river
Oh, just remove the splinter!
Join the venture
And into the round house enter
You can’t miss it
It’s right in the city centre!

“Do not cross the brook for water”
Finnish proverb

Entry and Exit Ways

You must choose:
Win or loose
To die in your boots
And even pray, for Zeus

Two entry ways
Before you join the maze
And your enemy face

Be careful always
Follow the hallways
This may take days

There will be chase
Even empty space
Before the winner of the race
Can fame and fortune, embrace
