Bird in a Dire

It’s not a bird, on a wire
It tried hard, to get higher
But now, It’s just a bird, in dire
Sitting on that rock
For hours on end
Possibly in shock
Resilience not well spent
The bird now desperately sings

“Hey bird, just flap your wings
And fly away
Or you’ll end up someone’s prey”

“They boarded the air
I told ’em, it wasn’t fair
But instead, of growing angrier
I grew, even more stronger
Even changed my colours
So now, here on this fence
I sit and holler!

Red on Blue

Here we are, so resilient
And utterly, quite brilliant
The wind blows
It only us slows
Hanging on
Even though,
The rest will be gone
