“Take a load off!” Gun Roswell
Slow Afternoon
Afternoon,
Feeling lazy
Real life, all hazy
Turquoise waters
With no otters
Laying about
Poolside,
No doubt!
No hurries
No worries
Just living
For today
Wishing
I could stay
More
Than a week!
“Island life, even in just the memories, it beats this dull city dwelling of a strife” Gun Roswell

Lunch time in the archipelago
Never hurried, simply slow, is the life spent on the island
Having a break when ever it suites, simply widely smiling
Even the time of lunch on the beach without any kind of timing
Is the way to go out here, in the middle of nowhere, in the archipelago
Where people abandoned their watches oh so long ago
As this is a place, time still stays, where no one has to hurry
And all the worldly troubles, were in the deep ditch buried
Life, as we know it, for at least the summer period is to be sent
On this very small island, so far away from it all, making no dents
In anything else, except maybe, in the cookie jar, but then again
You can always bake new ones, if you feel like it, or then just sit
All day long, as the sea shore, on this place, from heavens sent
“If you’re not bringing anything to the table, give up your seat, please!”

A Bench at the Beach?
Looking, for my very favourite spot
The one, I prefer for my rare and deserved break times
Yet, buried, under so much snow it seems
The workings, of some wintry plot!
But, the snow aside,
Since, I really don’t mind
And, now, sitting down for a few
Totally, enjoying the silent view
Before once again, the evening‘s
Most glorious sun, sets

“I have always wanted
a swimming pool
but never had one”
Joan Didion
Poolside
Eve
Night fall
By the pool
Watching
The setting sun
Just because
You can
The cool breeze
From the fan
The water dark
Will give you a spark
The last rays
Like fire
Waking
Your desire
To jump in
Oh heck
Just take a swim
Clothes torn aside
When swimming
Deep in the waters

From Sad to Glad
Sad
Another working day
Is started to play
Even though,
Last night I prayed
That instead of a Monday
It would be Saturday
And home I could stay
All day, in my bed lay

Glad
Sometimes
Life smiles
And the frown
Turns upside down…
Ok, so, this is some mandarins, an apple and a banana
Didn’t really think I could have fooled ‘ya!
So just go ahead and smile!

Seat in the Woods for Seat Sunday
If the bears can poop in the woods
There is really no reason why you shouldn’t
Leave the comfort of the hoods
To observe the critters of the deepest wood
And take a soft chair with you
Sit down and start feeling good!

“I don’t want it good. I want it Tuesday” Jack Warner
Just another Tuesday
Early wake up call
Sets the rolling of the ball
Day is about to begin
Also for this Finn
Driving into traffic
Nothing too terrific
Reaching the office
Exchanging a little gossip
And having a mild smirk
Before diving into work
When the lunch bell tolls
It is time to haul
That rigid body for a break
And knock out the aches
Leave that work console
Go on a little stroll
Down by the pier
The sunlight revere
Survey your surroundings
Before returning to the boundaries
Of the office
