Lady Bug

“The red coloured bug looks mighty snug seated on the leaf” Gun Roswell

In the middle of summer,, all kinds of loud hummers will fly you by
But the one most likely candidate which will surely make you smile
Is the one born in the bright red colour and a dozen dots on its back
And that simple fact, makes this tiny bug, one of the most prettiest
It’s not just out of a jest, that this red one wins the buggy contest
Simply look at it, the perfection of its armoury, as it looks quite adoring
A true winner of miss nature, being one of the prettiest of bug creatures
So, giving the kudos and crown toggle one whom one the great title
Even if it was simply sitting pretty, posing for the camera set on idle
So, do salute the red clad lady bug, whenever you might her closely pass
Sitting pretty on a flower or a long lush green leaf for the duration of summer
And do hurry, as this pretty thing, can only be seen during the long months
Of warmth and fun, May, June, July and August, maybe even longer
Depending whether the weather might remain mildly warmer in the fall

The Lady Bug

“Gorgeous little critters aren’t they, all dressed in the most fanciest of reds, with dots on them!” Gun Roswell

Arachnid

“Creepy crawlers about” Gun Roswell

Arachnid

Laying about, in the scorching sun
Just to piss you off and for my personal fun

My four legs spread, across the sun bed
I am here to stay, much to your dismay

A real ugly creepy crawly you might think
But before into despair you totally sink

Let me tell you one simple thing
I have as much right to do my own creepy thing
As you have tanning your fat shiny skin
So let’s both just simply agree

That neither of us will pay any dues or fees as we stay here for free
Then letting each other to be just here

For I am sure there is enough room for both of us on this cool blue sphere
No harm no fowl no disagreements

And when the time is up and sun has set
Let’s ignore each other and go our separate ways instead

Fly on the wall

“Just hanging, listening, observing, checking things out” Gun Roswell

Fly on the wall

I, am a small fly, sitting on the wall
Wall, which from I won’t totally fall
Fall, would be a terrible thing
Thing, as if I would be killed
Killed, to the very death!

I am but a fly on this wall
Wall, observing everything
Everything, and nothing
Nothing, as today’s such a bore
Bore, because I have no sugar!

Ah, sugar, the essence of life
Life, this tiny little fly’s treat
Treat, as in a sugary snack
Snack, as without it I would slack
Slack, well, yes, you know, lazy!

I basically don’t do much
Much, as humans consider such
Such, is the life of a fly
Fly, but now, I really have to fly
So, bye bye!

Mundane Monday and Spring Time 2

”It’s another Monday again folks, but today it seems to be so much nicer!” Gun Roswell

Mundane Monday and Spring Time

Creepy Crawly

It was there, on the leaf
Against the sun, so difficult to see
But by accident it appeared
On the picture, so weird

A creepy crawly
On the day so balmy
But it’s part of nature
So really, do not hate her

All them creatures great and small
Are present from spring till fall
Sit down, enjoy them all
Soon enough, there will be snow!

Stacked

Neatly, bundled together
Protected, from any weather
From January to December
Different, but similar
Just like, birds of a feather

They call me vintage
They call me old school
My condition may not be minted
But my owner considers me a jewel

Three

Just the three of us
Causing no fuss
Hanging together
To each other tethered
Yellow, with a touch of white
Pretty, in sunshine’s bright

Branching Out

With the warmth they will sprout
Growing their tentacled snouts
It is the time,
The time, for branching out

Sign of the Times

It was the sign, of the times
Peeing, surely a major crime
Just be careful, while lifting that leg
You may be fined
