Fluffy black cat, like in a painting, sat

“Celebrating, once again, this fine day, of a, Caturday” Gun Roswell

Fluffy black cat, like in a painting, sat

The perfect day, into the great outdoors, to sway
The darkness receding, while light, it once again defeating
And the bluest of seemingly summer’s skies, are once again
So, now, there is no more time, to pretend
That this day is a loss, but rather quickly your teeth floss
And make your way, outside, into the so called wild
Well, as wild as it gets, in the suburbs at this time of year
Where the snowy storms are a the only real and utter fear
But, simply dare to venture, out there, where even the cats, do leer
Because once you have gotten put, to the yard
A totally scary looking black cat is out there, on his daily spar
He looks at you like you just entered his special domain
Glaring at your existence as you, were not quite sane
But after a moment, he quickly lets you off the hook
Sniffing the air and then, trotting towards you, landing near
Both of you curious of the other, even if neither, is a hugger
Then slowly but surely, you get even closer and closer
And then, the scary looking black cat, turns up to be purring
It’s looks quite endearing, as the black fur is soft and woollen
Not at all scary and sullen, rather inviting and soft
And soon enough, both of you, so totally end up caught
In a friendly patting session, where two souls are meeting
With this type of common greeting, and then you are kneeling
To the black and now friendly cats level, you then softly whisper
“Could I interest you, in getting immortalised in a painting?”
As agreeing, the cat seems to be gleaming
And as soon as you get up and start towards your indoors
The black cat is right there, behind you, as it home with you, follows
Arriving inside, the cat soon takes his side, right by you
And it looks, like he is there, with you, for good
Staying there, posing, sleeping ,snoozing, dreaming
All the while you are his ver presence into so may paintings adding

Curious Cat

“Curiosity, made the cat, venture out into the wide world” Gun Roswell

Curious Cat

The almost completely, white coloured observant smart cat
On the clear cut and hard stone covered patio sat
Ears, neatly, steered, towards the upon coming sounds
As if intended to come her way, from over, the clouds
Intently, she was always watching, the endless skies
As if looking for something or someone, over there flying
Maybe just, a small bird, or then again, even a loud plane
Eyes, intently, fixed on what ever it was, just the same
Nothing and no one ever passed, the vigilant cat by
As she kept on observing, perhaps, with a hint of smile
After all, she was aptly named, by those of her keepers
Whose house she liked to stay in, before each day dreaming
While looking up into the endless blue and fluffy cloud filled skies
The name of Curious Cat, landed on her, and that, is no lie
And to be faire and honest, the cat really did not mind
After all, she was well kept and the only thing of her required
Was to keep doing her thing, admiring, everything around
Even if she could only fantasise of flying, seated on the ground

Cat on the table top

“The cat on the table top sat, just because it was there and totally flat” Gun Roswell

Cat on the table top

The lager grey striped cat
On the small table top sat
Not because it was bored
Or thought, it was a chore
To stay there like a pretty
Statue of a kind of a ditty
But just because it could
Even though, it may not should
But that wasn’t really a question
Because this cat did not do suggestions
It had a mind of its very own
From the day borne until grown
Knowing well its own position
It then made the ultimate decision
Stay there on that very table
Each and ever day for a variable
Amount of time of chosen
By itself and not of those
Whom had taken care of him
Ever since a little kitten thin
But being the king or the cat of the castle
Well, that was not a question to answer
Only the mere truth uttered
By the keeper of him so enamoured

Keep in sitting on the table top
Cat of grey colours on the dot
And you will become the ultimate pop
Star of this castle and the written word!

The cat in grey

“The striped cat, turned out to be mostly grey in colour” Gun Roswell

The cat in grey

The cat with stripes of grey
On the very kitchen table calmly lay
It really wasn’t any kind of dismay
Rather his usual dominant display

“Hooman, my food is once again delayed!
By at least forty-seven seconds according to my internal sensor array
I am none too happy, as a matter of fact I am starting to feel crappy
So make due with my deserved food
And try to make it really snappy!”

The grey cat ordered his human slave
Wondering how on earth to make the human better to behave
After all, it was not the first time she had stalled
Why only yesterday there was a one minute delay
And the grey cat, had been really, really late, for his nap!

“Hoomans!” The grey cat thought with a sigh, “can’t live with them, can’t get rid of them!”

The Black Cat

“A black cat crossing your path:
Usually signifies,
that the animal is going somewhere”
Groucho Marx

The Black Cat

Sleepy eyes
Still a spy

In this house
Maybe a mouse?

‘Oh that louse
Will not escape
My scrape!
No, not this time
No, that would be
A big crime!’

Happy international Cat Day!

Ode to all Freakish Felines

Freakishly feline
Or a soft purring ball
How easy to unwind
Soon to a sleep fall
Hypnotized
By those wide eyes
The limber steps
Command respect
You can never own them
Just borrow for a while
But rest assured, the little gems
Will leave you in big smiles

The cat in the middle of the street

“The cat sat, in the middle of the road, staring, watching, keeping an eye on her domain, smart!” Gun Roswell

The cat in the middle of the street

The grey coloured cat, look at that
Staring us mere Hoomans, right in the eyes

“What on earth”, I huffed, “can she be up to?”
“Is she, the much talked about spy?”

The cat did not budge, not one inch, that runt
We tried to pass, twice, from left and then from the right
But nothing, no not one thing, made this cat twinge
So the only option now, would be reasoning? Meow?

“Hey there, little kitty cat, would you think we could possible pass?”
I frustrated then asked

The cat just stared at me, as if asking, where the heck is my fee
And as if understand the thinking, of this freakish feline, I replied

“Oh, of course, you want a reward, because you know
Keeping this street safe from all kind of beings awkward.”

Stating that was like stating the obvious, which I have a knack for
So before I realised what I was doing, I was headed towards the nearest store
Searching for the best thing, which I could make the guard kitty sing
I immediately spotted the cans of tuna, sitting in the stands
(Really? Did the shopkeeper and the cat have a secret deal?)

Happily after buying in bulk, back into the street I stalked
Seeing the cat there, watching, knowing, heck, most likely humming
How much of a sucker the poor Hoomans be
But hey, that is just fine for me, as the cats are doing a great job indeed

“Hey kitty,” I cooed slightly

With an open can of fishy smelling treat
I hoped and preyed this food would do the thing
And as I saw the grey coated cat saunter towards me
Carefully and slowly, finally stopping at my feet
The signal there was pretty clear:

“Ye shall pass, now that I have my catch!”
As if the cat would have said would it actually talk

So, now, watching the cat starting to eat
I quickly made my way across the very street
I had been granted access by one simple and tiny act
To give a thanks and a reward where it was totally apt

Cat with a coat ruffled

“The cats in the harbour are waiting, for the fish to arrive” Gun Roswell

Cat with a coat ruffled

The cat on the sidewalk sat
It was looking quite wet
Maybe after taken a do dive on the deep side
Most likely of trying the fishies to find
It’s coat now totally ruffled and out of place
Clearly, out of washing it up after the watery way
Making it dripping and totally in disarray
Now it was just a matter of letting it lay
In the warming sunshine and soon it would fine
The cat once again ready, for another deep dive
After all, how else would the treats fall

“From the skies?”The cat asked with eyes open wide
“Do you think me a fool?
I know quite well, the only fish that ever from the skies fell
Was something made up in a fairytale.”

And the with a huff and a puff the cat continued
It’s coat to sort out to be ready for another interlude
With the water wet, for its fishies to get

A cat with a smile

“When a cat smiles, you know it’s gonna be a wild, adventure for a while” Gun Roswell

A cat with a smile

Cat with various stripes smiles

Patrolling its territory large, no one denies

Afterward, nap time awaits winner

And then, a delicious dinner, with fish

On a plate served cold or maybe fried

Just as a heaven’s sent nice surprise

For this cat with many stripes

And a totally catching wide smile
