The Black Cat
When the black cat
Was crossing the street
She was chasing a rat
Trying to act discreet
Hiding behind a big hat
Awaiting her treat
The grounded bat
Knew he tasted sweet
Stood still on the mat
There was no time to greet
Only time, for combat
After a long while
Both standing still
Trying to act hostile
But without thrill
So instead of the usual
They decided in mutual
This tale’s end
Will the norm bend
Cat and mouse decided
To shake their paws delighted
The lesson of this tale?
Sometimes it’s good to fail

The Girl and The Cat
Would you look at that!
The girl with the cat
On the sofa, laying flat
No time to chase a rat
No time for a little chat
Not even an eyelid will bat
No time for the internet
Nothing playing on the cassette
Nothing moves, on the chess set
If you want to bet
The only comment you get
“What the heck,
Are you staring at!”

An homage to the Lasagne Loving Cartoon Cat: Garfield (Caturday)
Everyday, eat lasagne
That can be most fun ‘ya
The cutest fat cat
Who really likes to chat
The orange tabby
With words of stabby
A fun loving creature
In a cartoon feature
Love ‘im, hate ‘im
You still can’t help to grin

Ode to Freakish Felines
Freakishly feline
Or a soft purring ball
How easy to unwind
Soon to a sleep fall
Hypnotized
By those wide eyes
The limber steps
Command respect
You can never own them
Just borrow for a while
But rest assured, the little gems
Will leave you in big smiles

Cats, cats, cats
I see a lots of cats
Cats over there
And cats over here
Even more cats
They are everywhere
Oh, look at the pretty cat
In the window there
What window, where?
Over there, over here
Even more cats
They are everywhere
