Wanderlust (six)

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

Wanderlust

Just follow the flow
Of the open road
Where kindred spirits
May follow your lyrics
After all, it’s infectious
The shared connection
Of wanderlust

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost.”

Wanderlust

When your feet are very tired
And you’re feeling kinda wired
Your shoes just got fired
Mentally, really uninspired
Your mind about to expire…

Don’t think twice
Hop on a bike
Continue your hike
From here,
To Klondike!

Wanderlust

On these distant shores
Secrets, may be stored
Here, under the scorching sun,
Rest assured, you won’t get bored

Sand and sea
Reserved for only thee
You weary traveller
So, throw away your calendar

Wanderlust

Switching from land to sea
Why?
Because, there is much more to see

A boat trip
Will do the trick
No needs to any plans to stick
Just follow your instincts
This vessel won’t easily sink
Over, on the other side
The land is even greener than you think

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost.”

Wanderlust

The road to unknown places
Filled with unfamiliar faces
Following the complex maces
Leaving no or minimal traces

The road paved with asphalt
The road filled with sand
Following each one to default
Always on the look out, for new land

Wanderlust

Standing at the airport
It was time for lift off
Because driven, by the wanderlust
This was the place of must

Shedding the everyday dust
Because, into the fever, I put my trust
This was neither love nor lust
I simply don’t want to stay and rust

Eagerly, awaiting my transport
Listening to my fast beating heart
My unknown journey, was about to start
Yes, this was my kind of sport!

Bundled up
Me, and the pup
Mommies too
’cause they are part of my crew

The comfy family sofa
Was filled up to the quota
There is safety in numbers
For those awake
And those in slumber

Safe and sound
We two are bound
Peas in the pod
We two are quite the sort

Mommy’s kiss
Contains my wish
We are cuddled
And securely huddled
