“Well, my favorite color I guess I would say yellow” Fran Drescher

Yellow

Not quite a rose
Still has its thorns
Gorgeous in its pose
A little red adorns
Not quite a flower
Still has the power
Each time to wow her

Eye Spy (The Daily Post)

The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge: Eye Spy

We’ve got our eye on your photos this week. (See what we did there?)

EYE-SPY

“Hey, I can see you, and me, and you, and… oh, I like this!” Kelly Robinson

Eye Spy

I spy
Behind my protected eye
A man from Shanghai
With a really nice tie
Passing me by
Eating an apple pie
Waving goodbye
As, in a hurry to buy
A ticket to fly
Away to Mumbai

“This is a challenge created to find beauty in almost everything. The challenge is simple : find beauty in everyday mundane things, capture the beauty and upload the photographs.”

MUNDANE MONDAY CHALLENGE #36

“I have always tried to live by the ‘awe principle.’ That is: Can I find awe, wonder and enchantment in the most mundane things conceivable?” Craig Hatkoff

Mundane Monday, 2015-12-07, Part Two

Looking out the window
Cannot find a rainbow
Closing all the curtains
Feelings of uncertain
The weather I cannot bend
But at least I can pretend
Turning on all
The colourful lights
In my mind
It is white and bright
At least before it’s time
To make my way outside

Market Trip

Took a quick trip
To the market
Almost flipped
Near the target
Needed a sit
Before the bargain
Charging circuits
To get things started
With all my wit
And whole hearted

Ready for fighting
For the bargain
In the discount market

Share each Friday, on your own blog, one photo…or maybe even a gallery of some of your favorite photos that you have taken during the week, that make you smile or that was a great photo capturing opportunity…anything really! And as photographers are often known to say, “The best camera is, the one that you have with you!”

“The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll
Elvis has left the Konebuilding”

This week’s favourite photo has to be the one of the Christmas ornament, or plastic Elvis, as I like to call it. The photograph was taken from one of the decorations of our office Christmas tree.

One, Two

It started with a few
Then there were two
Only remaining
A single one
Nothing to be done
The time for Winter
Has finally come

Winter

Brightness surrounding
Snow’s blanket covers all
Feeling my heart pounding
Cannot help but feeling small
The world seemingly wider
Nothing, but snow as a divider

Endless darkness has fallen
The sun elsewhere been stolen
Searching for a bright spot
Is like trying to change the plot

“Summer ends, and Autumn comes, and he who would have it otherwise would have high tide always and a full moon every night” Hal Borland

Autumn Foliage

The colours are of plenty
The wind cooling gently
Nature filled with changes
Much like the turning of pages
