Grey Skies for Daily Photo

clouds-2

Watching nervously from my window box
The hanging grey clouds above the roof tops
“Surely, none on our backs will drop!”
I state out loud
As the greyest of shrouds
Moving closer and closer…

Stormy weather
May seem like pleasure
At least when staying inside
Tucked, warm and in denial!

Tell a few white lies
When looking at the grey skies

“Yes, the sun will shine
And all will be just fine!”

August Days in Espoo for Daily Photo

“August, the summer’s last messenger of misery, is a hollow actor” Henry Rollins

Ripples on the Water

ripples 1

Soon, September comes with sniffles
Thought of that gives me wrinkles
Looking at the water’s surface filled with ripples
As it smiles with all its dimples
Life in August, smooth and simple
And today, is Friday, so just whistle

August Days in Espoo for Daily Photo

“August brings into sharp focus and a furious boil everything I’ve been listening to in the late spring and summer” Henry Rollins

Smoke in the Sky

“I will huff and puff
Blow smoke until there is enough”
The little pipe scoffed
And blew more smoke
Up into the air

Early Morning on a Saturday for the Daily Post

“Morning comes whether you set the alarm or not.” Ursula K. Le Guin

Early Morning on a Saturday for the Daily Post

Too early
Airport calling
Surely
You wouldn’t want to
Miss the flight
It took so long
And one
Sleepless night
To get there
Where ever
You now wanted
To go

Breathe in
Breathe out
Let the morning air
Cool and thin
Hitting your skin
Clear all doubt
For soon
Sea and sun
Will replace
The mundane
And it’s not even
A Monday!
Get the pun?

“I prefer the mystic clouds of nostalgia to the real thing, to be honest” Robert Wyatt

Star of light,
Ever so bright
Behind the clouds
Ever so white
A giant satellite
Quite the sight
Power of dynamite
Quite right

Sun, sun
Pardon the pun
You came out
And now
We have fun

Soft
Like cotton candy
The colour reminiscent
Of beaches
White and sandy
Blue skies filled
With soft fluffy clouds
Life chilled
Relaxation allowed
Now, all is
Fine and dandy

Day Ten: “Architecture” — Go Monochrome

From the geometry of skyscrapers to the ironwork on historical buildings, there are many opportunities to capture the beauty and complexity of architecture.

A clever camouflage?

Just Another Day in July for Daily Photo

Just-Another-Day-in-July-2

If you expected sunshine,
Sitting on a terrace
With a cool glass of wine
And feeling, just fine

Then,
I hate to disappoint
Dearie,
But it seems,
The odds
Are heavily
Against you

The weather gods
Decided their jobs
Was to make you sob

Like the true sociopaths
Bringing on their wrath
Even if you did not need a bath

But soaking wet
Soon you’ll be
If you think
The game is set
Maybe
It is time to flee

Or then

Just forget,
The bummer
After all
It is summer
And just
Another day
In July
