Concrete is what you see

“The constructs made all the same, concrete is to blame” Gun Roswell

Structure break down
In this smallest of town
A minor human form
Could be the kind of a norm
In the cold concrete suburbia

Glass and Concrete

“See through and solid, make an excellent team” Gun Roswell

Glass and Concrete

A sturdy structure, basis on the concrete
Alas, through itself, you cannot see
Enter an element still solid, yet so clear
That when you take a peek, you are able to leer
Like a looking glass, the light and the spying eyes will pass
A potent combo of concrete and glass
The possibility, might as well, quite long last
But breakable is one half of it
With the very same essence from which the other was built
So, tread lightly, don’t step on the see-through part
That is the way, to play it really smart!

Seat at Home

“If it’s the right chair,
it doesn’t take too long to get comfortable in it”
Robert De Niro

Seat at Home

Fancy a seat
In an art studio so neat?
Show is about to start
So sit down
And look smart!

Seat by the Seaside

Making, a comfy seat
From a bench made out of concrete
May be, an experience too concrete
But never mind,
I will still, take a seat

Seat in the Woods

If the bears can poop in the woods
There is really no reason why you shouldn’t
Leave the comfort of the hoods
To observe the critters of the deepest wood
And take a soft chair with you
Sit down and start feeling good!

Left and Right for Mundane Monday

Posted in Mundane Monday #73
Photography /Poetry /Humour

“Life is mundane without the new and unexpected. I guess that has been and continues to be my downfall… I’m constantly searching…”
Adria J. Cimino

Left and Right for Mundane Monday

Passing,
The right side
Moving,
Towards the left side

Which side?
It’s really
A matter of perspective
The other right
Or the other left
The mind subjective

Do I have to choose
What if I loose
What is good for the gander
May not be good for the goose

Better then
To stay in the middle
Because
In the end
Life is a riddle

Take a Load off

A bench of stone, wood or wire
Can get you out of the dire
When feeling spent and tired
Take a load off and enjoy the fire

Camera Lucida: Reflections

Poetry and Photography
Posted in week #13 of Camera Lucida Photo Challenge, Reflections

“It’s always interesting to look at reflections…are they really the same as the reality?
How many times did you look at your own reflection and wondered if that’s how the world sees you…?”

“The world is a looking glass and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face”
William Makepeace Thackeray

Camera Lucida: Reflections

Glass, wood, concrete
How this scene to complete?
Add a dash of colour
Maybe a selfie to follow?

Through the looking glass
Time slowly will pass
The observer’s delight
Is the turning of the light

Scenery, water, skies
Even a high rise
At this altitude
The surprise is an absolute
