The many faces of the moon

“The moon has many faces, even if it may just show the one to us“ Gun Roswell

The many faces of the moon

The shiniest of balls coming out at night

After winning against the sun its eternal fight

Hanging there on the spot regular as the work of the clock

The moon may be half or less its size, or full which is nice

The way printed onto sky, looking like a permanent smile

Depending naturally on the angle of the current viewer

But see, turn your head just a bit, and there it is!

The wide big grin of the moon – ding ding!

The re-appearing moon

“The moon is out again, then does’t it appear every single night? Wait a minute, does it ever go away? Really?” Gun Roswell

The re-appearing moon

The moon is hanging out there against the darkness of the skies

At least it looks like that, when looking out the window in the middle of the night

It always seems to be appearing, out of nowhere after sunset

And usually, looming there way past the night, well, perhaps changing position somewhat

But, the moon half or full, crescent or nonsense? I dunno the rhyme

It’s all fine as long as the moon graces us with its presence

Above, Below

“The shining moon high up in the sky, but just a crescent one at this time” Gun Roswell

Above, Below

The moon slowly emerged from behind
A soft and fluffy set of white clouds, shining
Ever so brightly, despite of mostly hiding
Its space battered round body, dividing
Thus from us seeing only the best part
For this night so very long and dark
So, following the brightly lit path
Would be the choice to be made so smart
The street light may be turned on
But their light is not so very strong
The only way to make it across
Is to trust the moon light, our nightly boss

Half of me seen

“Hiding my other side, the dark side of me, always” Gun Roswell

Half of me seen

I like to hide, the other side, of me
The one, never, ever facing the sun
This side, has never been exposed
Never have been observed up close
And it will remain on the dark side
Until, the end of time

Seems it won the fight

A fullest of moons
In the night sky of suburbia
The followers swoon
Of the rarest form of morphia

Half hidden
But never miserable

Dark moon
Light moon
But still,
Both of them
Came too soon

Moon’s Many Faces

Behind the unfinished building
Looking for some shielding
The round moon arises
To it’s fullest of sizes

Depicted, in different stages
Seen, in many places
It keeps on with the races
